i totally disagree with spanking ...i raised three kids ... used spanking of hands to keep children under 4 from harming themselves in dangerous things .... the thing that parents of today are forgetting is that once you say you want to be a parent ...your days of thinking of yourself are over...this is not a bad thing...I loved every minute of it.... I'm reaping the bennifits with children always willing to help their brother and sister or us when we need it ....the trick to great kids is listen , care and make time to be with them.......it's easy when you put their well being always ahead of yours ..... I'm not saying that spanking should never be used.... I'm just saying that being able to discipline in a non combative environment will benefit us all with a gentler world..... let's move forward to peace not backwards to caveman days!
I am ok with spanking but hitting is what i disagree with. spanking on the arse is ok but hitting any where else on a childs body is wrong. i have never spanked my kids but if u have a kid that can do what that boy did to the bus driver u gotta see early signs of his issues. the parents are in such denial that i say they should be punished like to kid. they probably have never punished him. i was spanked growing up but i was a pain in the arse. not saying i deserved it but i had it coming my way. spanking versus hitting are two different things. kids can get away with alot of things because they know they can call the cops if they do get spanked or hit. i hope they throw the book at that kid. he deserves it.
The clip was rediculous but you have to understand that if he has a mental illness, he should not be punished for this crime. As debatable as it is, the fact remains that if you were going through mental distress, it is highly likely that you may react in the same way. The terms that they were speaking of are extremely serious but typically don't do well in a mental hospital. Ironically, they are sending people from these state hospitals to jails and actually makes up 40% of the inmates. The reason for this is the economy and the lack of social workers in this type of field.
do u really think that he has a disorder. i believe that is a cop out that many people use to get out of things. his parents are just using it because they know they are about to get the pants sued off of them. mental problem or not hes a liability to society.
