keep bubbling

i keep bubling on fulltilt latly like just on bubble to its really really starting to effect my game i think and suggestions on how to deal with this better i know what i should do just wanna see what u guys think

I've bubbled the last two buy-ins at PDC and all I can say is that as long as I was all-in with the best of it I am happy. I was all-in last night with 99. Two others joined the fun and I was up against 88 and 67offsuit. I couldn't ask for a better way to triple up. Unfortunately the the river gave the 67 a straight and I was gone. I am okay with where I finished for two reasons. First I picked my spots carefully during the game, since I didn't have many great hands, and ended up making the final four. Secondly it took a bad beat to knock me out. So all in all I am happy. The bad beat stung for a while and losing my hold on first place sucks but I still managed to earn some points...and a free buy-in for being the bubble again.

So basically I would just say to step back and check out some hand histories, see what you could have done differently but also see what you did well, it helps take the sting away. Hope that helps.

awesome well yea i was playing a tourney yesturday and i placef on the nunnle from a bad beat i was in first most of the tourney and then just a few moderate calls and a couple luck boxz(you know who u r ) and i was in 5th then i flop 2 hearts and i push guy calls with pair 6s and i couldnt hit eaither of my higher cards than his or a heart and bamm im out it stung really bad but i was really impressed with my play that day and latley in general

Id much rather lose getting it all in as a favourite than behind.

E.g Last nights buy-in AQ vs AJ. flop J 4 2 (gg me)

And if you keep bubbling there are 2 reasons.

1 - Your not accumulating chips well pre-bubble. Not stealing enough, playing too passively as the money is approaching.

2 - your steaing much too often and are getting your allins called by hands which will eventually hit

In the one example you provided, you pushed all in with overs and a flush draw. In a bubble situation I think it's much more profitable to push with a made hand rather than a drawing hand. If you've made the flush and can get them all in your are only dodging a few outs rather than trying to hit some outs. I've found that when the bubble approaches and you are close to the bubble, you need to tighten up some and press hard with your good cards preflop. Notice I'm not saying push all in, but rather press hard with your cards. If you hit the flop, then push. Too many people are willing to commit their buy in's to a draw, after playing a few hours to get there. Besides what you do, there are others that are playing and could misread a hand and make a mistake, especially in the bigger fields. You can be the last person and end up cashing as 3 or 4 other short stacks bust out. I know this because I've done it multiple times. Hope this helps.
