The last sentence you typed is the best way to look at it. I would rather win 6 small pots than lose 1 big one. Everytime you rake the pot, you are picking up profit. If you play poker for fun and not to make money, just enjoy the wins and the pot size shouldn't matter. If you play for profit (I think most of us do) then remember that making profit, no matter how small, is the part that matters. I can say that I play to make money. If I rake the blinds with the proper raise, I'm happy because I get a "free" round if I don't pick up a hand.
