I have now ended this tricky trivia. If I let it go any longer, I think we may start to lose members who are getting angry!!!

I put this trivia question up because I wanted to start a frenzy of Cheers buying across the world (it's such a great show and I will never let it die)!!!

Woody's actual REAL character name on Cheers is:

Huckleberry Tiberius Boyd (Yes that's really it)

This was nearly impossible to Google (although Edshez was able to find it - so congrats to him on the master Google work).

Most people guess Woodrow Tiberius Boyd - Which up until the final episode - That is indeed presumed to be his real name.

However, near the very end of the final episode of Cheers, it's revealed that his real name is Huckleberry.

Here is a brief recap of how it's revealed:

The gang of Cheers is sitting around the bar smoking cigars and talking about old times.

Woody tells everyone that the gang of Cheers is more a family than his own back in Indiana.

Fraiser asks him if that's really true.

Woody replies that it is true and he's happy that the Cheers people don't call him Huckleberry.

Fraiser asks if that is his nickname and Woody replies "No, Woody is."

Everyone should run out and purchase the final season of Cheers and watch the last episode today!!!
