Default A-rod accused of steroid use

Check out espn, or any news source for that matter as right after the week filled with barry bonds drama, none other than a-rod is said to have tested positive for 2 different steroids late in 2003. This is a complete shock to me and i believe it is horrible for baseball. A rod was suppose to be the type of person that was drug free and that was the antithesis of those like bonds because he had remain untainted and still succeeded. Check out espn, or any sports new source and then let me know what you think about this

Its not a surprise to me. Im pretty sure way more than half the major superstars have used steriods before. Even if it was to just recover from injury faster.... I dont agree with this. All the records are pretty much worthless now. I feel sorry for guys like Ken Griffey Jr. The guy was so good for a short amount of time. Is one of the leading homerun hitters ever and and missed so much of his career to injury. Just think if he would have used steriods. He prob would have the all time record beat by now... Just shows you that in life if you play fair you get screwed and left behind. If you can cheat and get away with it. Do it. Even if you get caught you are still probably gonna be in better shape then if you never did it at all.

like i have said in the past to people about 80 percent of baseball was doing roids. griffey included. i am a big griffey fan but look at his fall from stardom. he was getting injured because stopped using them like many other star players. i mean a player like bret boone comes out one year and hits 40 plus homeruns. roids were the thing. only players that didnt use were rookies. i hate to say but baseball was better with roids. i know its not good for kids to do it but if u r a adult playing for millions of dollars u should b able to do it. the mitchell reports was a waste of time. that guy just pressured retired and players at the end of there rope to tell him who was doing it. what a waste of money. we all knew it was happening. look at what is happenening to greg anderson bonds trainer. he wont testify so they go after his wifes mom for IRS problems. dude they r hitting her because she owes like 1k to the irs. what a shame. with all our econmoics problems and all the murderers out there and we go after bonds, clemens, because they are the most prolific pitcher and hitter in all of baseball. u know this is like the online poker ban. that is such a waste. i swear our country is *** backward sometimes. u know for those of u that dont live in the US do ur countries follow the steroids deal with all the hoopla about it. just would like to know. well maybe this will be the year when it all comes and out and the media can stop beating a dead horse. LEAVE IT ALONE no one cares anymore.

Do not get me started on this one. All of these guys are making millions to play baseball, and they have to do this ****. And as for the records they get that is just a joke to me. HANK ARRON AND BABE RUTH WILL ALWAYS BE ONE AND TWO TO ME IN HOMERUNS. As for barry bonds he is just a joke to me. As for A-ROD well lets see he makes 27 million a year and does drugs. Srumb bag. and i am a yankee fan. And at the end of all of this nothing will happen to any of them. That will be a sad day for baseball. Thats all i have to say on this.

I still love watching it, its simple to me.

Let them ALL do steroids, or ban it omcpletely. If everyone could, it would just be pointless anyway.

And i agree with dallas for a change. BR and HA had some advantages when they played (Easier pitching, smaller parks) but they still achieved huge results. BBonds e.t.c have beaten it, against much better pitchers, but were they on a levle field? Who knows

dude baseball evolved to steroids. it was the owners of teams to get them to do i t. more homeruns means more ticket sales which leads to more merchandise sales and beer sales. STEROIDS=MONEY$$$$$$$$$

i say reacords should stay because ill tell u this if aaron or ruth were alive today they would have been doing them too. if anything bonds and clemens record should have a asterik for being done during steroids era. u can say what u want about records and players but we are all human and human nature tells u take advantage of what u can. these guys did roids b4 they banned them so say if bonds got caught while they were banned then i would say ok his records are not even gonna be. not one big star player has been found to have a positive test since the ban happened. only rookies striving to play and veterans trying to back into the game.

u have to face it steroids was a major part of baseball and always will be.

I sitll love baseball no matter what.

the funny thing is if u doslike cheaters then u hate about 80% of all baseball players. how many more that have retired have done it also. i dont hate any of them. none of them got caught when it was banned again i say. there was no harm done.

u know whats really funny is that heas hitting 40-45homeruns while with the mariners and then he signs with texas then does roids to get an extra 7 homeruns per season. i bet he did it b4 that. him and griffey were shooting eachother up and sharing needles. what a bunch of heroin addicts. i still love em though.

To the baseball fans that don't have a problem with steroids, why do you like a game that is played by science and not natural talent. The whole point of the "Major League" was the best of the best based on talent, not willingness to shoot up with drugs. I grew up in a big time baseball town and all of the players were my idol's. I can remember players on my team trying to make plays they saw their favorite players make the night before. Now, I have no respect for most of the baseball players in the "Major Leagues." If you can't play a game clean, why play it at all? Is everyone in America that greedy? I don't know how you justify paying a person $27,000,000 to play a game that people would play for FREE. I understand that there is ALOT of work involved, but please!!

I wish MLB would post the remaining 103 names that tested positive for a banned substance in 2003. Let the world know who the cheaters are. I would love to see MLB test and publish the results of EVERY player in the game, major or minor league. I'm ashamed to say I'm a fan of baseball right now. The game is so tainted that it's almost not worth watching because you don't know who's clean and who shoots up.

i understand what u are saying but it was the STEROID ERA so by u not having repsect for them then so be it. honestly the only people steriods helped were the ones that werent hittin for power. and yes chipper jones was on roids and so was andrew jones. i think steroids were mainly used for the fast recovery time. i mean if u play 162 games a year with back to back games and traveling its gotta take its toll on the human body. u know if u are a fan u should always be a fan. y be ashamed it wasnt u. i hate people that say they are ashamed. u are the driving force for the media. this will never die. they are human get over it. and yes that means u.

There were players messing with roids in the 60s and 70s, Nobody would be able to know who has been on them and who hasnt. However, they didnt make the kind of money back then as they do now, so it wasnt as common place as it was lately. A-rod took the roids for 3 years, won most valuable player, Cashed in big with the Yankees, and weened off them... I would think poker players would respect this. When he did them there was no punishment for doing so. They were banned but no consequences... The investment of 3 years on roids, carefully controlled under the supervison of a doctor inorder to get a huge long term contract with the yankees?... good investment I think. I would have done the same.

i dont know if he did it for the contract from yanks because he is only making 25 million more than the one he signed with the rangers. yeah he added years to it by voiding his old contract but its still the same. baseball is still a great sport. i love it. if not the yankees someone else would have signed him. he was getting the money regardless.

I wasnt try to say he took them just to get a deal with the yankees. I was only saying he took them to get a better deal. The deal with the yankees was big. More money, endorsements/get to live in new york, long term security, No-trade, all that stuff. He got the deal because of how he was playing on the roids. I still think it was a good investment..... Also I kind of respect A-rod for playing for the US in the world baseball classic instead of mexico. That impressed me. Even though he does come off somewhat as a jackass and I understand why people don't like him. Playing for the yankees dont help that.
