    Wink

I think that's about what i would do. The check on the flop strictly because of position of being BB and heads up.

The way the table has been playing or how the table perceives me is the variable.

Nah... screw it. I would just go all in pre flop no matter what. You had pocket sevens, nuff said.

I agree with bird on this hand you were the short stack and had the slimest probibity of improving preflop. All in would have been my play too

Short stack isnt relevent really. Blinds arent that big yet. And my M is 10. (For the people who dont know, M is amount of orbits left including the BB,SB and antes). Standard "by the book" all in preflop is with an M of 7 or less. I know we dont always go by the book, but i felt all in here is just gonna involve a race or im beat. What am i beating here??? Im racing Ace anything. She wont raiset hree with 66 or less. And she may have 88+. IMO all in prelfop is -EV, due to the fact im never ever ahead.

Played it well in my book. You were pretty much in either way after the flop. And if you would have called his 2,700 bet on the flop, he would have checked it down or folded by the river. I think you played his prideful instinct quite well.

    eejit,

In my opinion you played the hand perfectly. You didn't over call preflop with a mid pocket pair. I use a general rule of: call no more than 5x the bb so long as the raiser has 20x bb left in their stack. The flop couldn't be better. Bunch of little cards, while also giving you an open ended straight draw for what should be the nuts. I think your read was spot on. In your shoes I put the player on either AK or AQ. The raise doesn't tell me AA or KK, but it is an option.

Overall, a perfectly played double up.
