i got this idea from whooohooosue.... i'm going to start a thread about the crappy things and stupidest things that i've heard or been told at work, lol (i work with people's personal taxes so they're usually REALLY happy with me or REALLLY angry at me, LOL)

today's stupid comments- the phone rings around 9am, I answer, Hello.... etc.... Caller: hi there, so you are open right now? me: yes we are can i help you with something? Caller: are you going to be open in 15 minutes?


what the? why would we close in 15 minutes when we've only been open for an hour?

stupid comment- phone rings around 10am, i answer, hello.... etc...... Caller: i did my taxes with you last year (silence) Me: okay, what can i do for you today? Caller: can you tell me what my refund is going to be? Me: Have you brought in your tax forms to me yet? Caller: no, i can't i'm at work and i don't want to book time off until i know what my refund is going to be!

wtf? how do i know if you get a refund or owe without the forms? theses were the 2 calls i got today that stumped me for a response..... HA, i'm sure i'm going to have tons of these almost daily, i'll keep you posted here

Yes if you work with taxes you will get a lot of them.

okay today i was yelled at..... hung up on a few times and praised all within the same hour..... lol but this is another funny

me: maritial status last year? person: i never got married

me: do you have any dependants? person: no i just have a couple kids

me: you have a balance owing of this much.... person: why don't you go back to school and learn how to add!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the rest of this statement i can't type because of the swearing LOL

me: i answer my phone after constant ringing..... person: i just called you and you hung up on me? me: i'm sorry i never realized i hung up? person: yah after i asked you a question and hung up you weren't there when i picked up again

OMG..... and I LOVE my job.....
