Default Poker: Not playing after great wins!

This is actually something I hope most experienced pokerplayers know of but there might as well be some people who can handle it. It is at least one huge problem for me when I play.

If I make a great win in a game, tournament, sit&go or just a normal table and it is a big one then I can't really play anymore untill at least the next day after, more likely 2-3 days after. Why?

Well, basicly, it is because winning and gambling has the same affect on the mind as any drug you can find. It affects the rewardcentra and releases extreme doses of dopamine which is the most common neurotransmitter affected by most drugs. This will make you a little bit dizzy, mostly aroused by the situation and happy. It will also affect your judgement and so in the end affect your gamingabilities.

Just a short tip from me and a little basic neuroscience Happy gaming!

    How strange.
I don't have that problem at all.
When I am playing well, I am playing well.
Now if I start making bad moves I tend to go take a break from it but definitely not if I am winning big and playing well.
    How interesting.
I guess everyone plays differently, but to me poker is nothing like slots or video poker.
I instead encourage folks to play while you are playing well!!!
If you start making bad calls, or folds then it may be time to take a breather.

Well the thing with me is that when it goes well you tend to make even bigger and more brave bets which sometimes could be classified as dumb bets.

I think that Your right if you win a big bet and keep playing you feel the momentum going up up up. and or probaly not to scared to lose as much because you are doing well. but hear is that catch try going back to the mind state you where in like you didnt loose any or win any so all of those feeling are out of the way only lieft with the decions happening now or thne when all of that can matter any more.

A poker topic! My favorite subject.
I can actually see both of your points, and Dencrypt, it goes both ways whether you are winning or losing.
With that said, that is why it truely is a great accomplishment to become an excellent poker player. It takes a lot of patience and self-discipline to be able to control yourself at the table. I have a lot of experience in the game playing pretty at every level and I still have not "mastered" my game.
I will work on getting some great Poker Promos together so we can play one another and see who the real "boss" is!

I'll figure something out and let everyone know! Poker is my favorite so once I get some other "stuff" done to the site I will try to focus some more time on getting some poker promos going.

I am the poker king!! lol. There a a couple of no deposit bonuses your missing on the poker section. Theres $10 free on royal vegas poker, $10 free on crazy poker, and i think $15 free on piggs peak poker, all 3 of these are on the prima network. There is also $5 free on united poker and supreme poker.

Im sure nodepositneeded bloke had affiliates somewhere with these people, or is now making them

    eejit101,
Check the "More no deposit" section. I broke up the bonuses into two sections. On the main page, all of the "no deposit" bonuses are instant. On the "more no deposit" page, all of those bonuses take 12-72 hours to receive for the most part. I did this as a way to help everyone out. You'll see that Crazy and Royal Vegas are both listed there and have been for quite some time. As for Piggs Peak Poker (Poker333) they discontinue their $16 no deposit bonus a little while back.

As for United and Supreme, They run with the same program as Banner, Holidays, Poker Place etc... and I am considering removing all of them from my site. I am not a fan of their software and my anti-virus has one of their files "blacklisted."

Whew that was long, but hopefully informative!

Lol. I just assumed when you listed united and supreme together they would both be the same software. I couldn't find the Supreme site so I jumped to conclusions. If you happen to find the full address let me know and I'll check it out.
