officially start a tournament? I saw eej start one but i know that he has admin powers of some kind and was wondering if we all could start it ourselves. And... if so does the tournament have to be a live one, and how do we control the settings of the tourney/etc

Is there something im missing here? I feel really dumb asking this lol

I believe anyone can create a tournament in the arcade.

Just click "Tournaments" and look for the "Create a New Tournament" link.

Thanks ndn, but in more detail can anyone add chips to the prizepool like eejit did? Im sure there could be a buyin but im talking in reference to the freeroll idea that he had

At the moment only I can authorize chip prizes for arcade tournaments.

Eejit101 helps me out with a lot of random things and he will be handling the arcade for the most part.

I'm sure as more people become interested we'll be able to have frequent tournaments for chip prizes.

However, it's taking a while to complete just one tournament right now so I am not sure the interest is high enough to try too many tournaments at once.

I went to create a tournament and I got a message saying that my usergroup is not allowed to create tournaments. Just thought you all should know.

Im hoping to organize a 1 hour tourney for the next time we have an NDNPT game, prolly tomorrow. Problem is im working till just before the game, so i may not have time. Ill still try though.

I think we'd have more luck with this if we made them scheduled events like poker tournaments. In an 8 person field, it will be a maximum of 3 rounds. We should be able to complete an arcade tournament in an hour.
