    Default Would YOU?

Would you give a newbie info on how to play poker during a MTT? Especially the different poker games?

Let's say you're in a Omaha Hi/Lo MTT freeroll (or buyin, i don't think it matters) and there's a newbie on the table asking questions and nobody is answering. The newbie asks you personally "how do I play this game?"

Would you tell them how to play properly?

I probably would give them a quick kind rundown - I would be careful not to aggravate other players . After all there is online poker schools . I for one would not enter a huge tournament table not knowing how in the world the game is played . It will be their loss eventually if they didnt go study something even if no one answered there questions. Not alot of players give up there strategy - It is poker man what are the chances that you will belied to by some unforgiving player ??

Yea but it doesn't make it your job to teach him. I went in debt big time from thinking I knew how to play. It put me in my place real quick lol

I used to try to explain some of the high point strategies to a newbie but then someone at the table said "TAKE DON'T TEACH". In the next 10 minutes we both had a share of the new players $100.00 sit down cash. So I'm a big believer in "Take don't teach".

yah, when i first started to play omaha nobody told me what to do..... and when the game was hi/lo, nobody told me what cards qualified for lo..... after a few lost $$$ and being the 1st one out of MTT's I had to figure things out myself. The first time I was asked for info, I gave it and the bugger took me out... ha ha ha, just my luck

I know everyone has a big heart in this forum but come on.. You can't make money if the donkey's win. That's how poker works, best man wins.

I'm more than happy to pass along the advise I wish I would of gotten when I first started playing. I spent ALOT of money learning how to properly play the different games I play. If anyone would like help, let me know and I will be more than happy to help.
