Partner Poker

I had an idea earlier today and I would like to get some opinions on it.

I was thinking of running an event (or many events) called Partner Poker.

It would be a team poker event (each team consisting of two players).

We would run two tournaments at the same time with a person from each team playing in each tournament.

We would then combine the scores of the teams and the best scores would win the prizes.

For example, if one person finished 17th in their game and the other person finished 3rd in their game, their team score would be 20.

Please let me know your thoughts on this and if you'd have any interest.

Awesome idea, i'm game....... but my question......

how would we get our partner? would they be assigned or do we get to pick em' lol, cause i referrered my other half to this forum and I'm the better poker player so i don't know if i'd want to be his partner.... LOL

We could go either route (randomly assign partners or choose your own partner).

well the ole man explained why we shouldn't be partners....... (if this cool idea goes through) and it makes sense..... (don't tell him I'm agreeing, lol) but if this poker partners went through, and i was partners with the hubby he said we'd be suspected of collusion..... which i could see, but he's normally in the room on his laptop and i'm always in the living room, usually on the phone and on the computer.... LOL

so if this partner stuff goes through, i'm game for getting a different partner.... anybody interested? (i'm not a BAD poker player, LOL)

No one would suspect any collusion....

WHEN (not if) this idea goes through, each partner will play seperately on two different tournaments.

So you'd play in tournament A and your parter in tournament B.

No one would care if you guys are in the same room playing both games together because you won't be in the same tournament.

So, you may select any partner that you'd like!!!
