How to turn $400 into $0.
Step 1 - play a rebuy, bust 14 times in it! 10 times racing, 3 times when a 70/30 favourite or better, and once with the worst hand (Down $44ish)
Step 2 - win it back playing a SnG! Send Borgo something (BAD LUCK THAT IS!)
Step 3 - Play 3 tournaments. End up perfectly getting it all in vs an underpair to your paid, and have QT suited call from the BB for all his chips in a $55buyin.... saying "Pot odds". POT ODDS????? He has 3 outs! And he hits them. All damn 3 of them for quads. One of the tourneys i just donked out of trying to get a bigger stack early as it was a bounty, the other was my AA vs his AJs...... and he flops a flush.
Step 4 - Play a HU cash game. Buy in for $100. Play against a donkey! Woot. I have 44, flop 9 9 8, he bets i call. Turn 4. He bets i call. River 4, yes i have quads. He pushes i call. Up to $220. Next hand he reriases me preflop. I have 7 9 spades. i call optimistically. 79s isnt too bad if he is playing a huge hand. Flop 9c 7c 2s. Booya! He pushes. I snap-call. HE flips AA! Good read me. Turn Q. River.....Q. He rivers higher 2 pair. Sucks to be me, and because he bought in for the max im down to $0.
So thats $250 gone, The other $150 was a $100HU (which i am good at btw) to which i got myself in a mess slow playing top 2 pair for him to runner runner a flush, to which i had to fold (the correct fold as he showed me the nuts btw) After this i simply had to rebuild, stole blinds and such. Got back to 1k chips vs his 2k, then decided to get involved in a race... And my car didnt leave the pit garage.
Final $45 i stuck on $1/$2 all in first hand with Q3 or something, called weirdly by 22 and JJ. And noone improved.
So, lessons from this?
1 - dont be eej
2 - Dont play big buyins with little cash
3 - if your gonna sattelite into something, do it sensibly.
4 - practice safe sex
5 - If you play on cake, the donks are great, but they do hit sometimes.
6 - When you have lost all your money, watch Saw5 and Eagleeye.
which is where im going now.
BYE!
