Proposing a 64-team college football playoff

CBS sports has a 64 team football playoff bracket on their site. Looks interesting. What do ya'll think??

Forgetting for a moment how difficult it would be for this to actually work...IT WOULD BE THE MOST EXCITING SPORTS MONTH EVER! It would put March Madness to shame.

That would be absolutely crazy. I couldn't imagine picking the Top 64, but it will be interesting. The only problem I see is the people who think that the 4 number 1 seeds should meet and play a couple of games to determine the national champion.

nay at most a 6 team top 2 get byes 1st week. It would only take 3 weeks, surely we can get the top outa 6.

Yeah 64 teams would make for a 7 game regular season. I just thought that was some funny stuff. We at least need a plus 1.

I could see a 32 team or a 16 team playoff to determine the national champion. 32 teams would take 5 weeks to complete and 16 would take 4 weeks to complete. I personally think that they could cut a couple of weeks off the schedule and make it say 10 weeks. The top 16 in the AP polls make the playoffs. Play the next 4 weeks to determine the national champion. It works great for basketball, why can't it work for football.

No, 16 is to many. 8 is a perfect number. Hell I would take a four team playoff at this point. This BCS crap is a joke. Use the BCS to seed the teams in the bracket that is all it is good for.

I could see 8 teams. Use some of the bowl games to be the tournament games. It would make the bowl games a bit more interesting. Most of them are a lopsided joke.
