I'm up $2500 since 2005 on FTP. That figure doesn't consider all the money I've given away to people. That is deposits vs withdraws. If you add the almost $300 I've given away in that same time frame I'm almost up $2800 then.

What we should really be focussing on is how to become better regardless of the poll. If you're up (good job : )_ and stay up but if your not this is the place to learn. This is what NDN put into place for us. He did this forum for us and to give to the community so let's not take this for granted. I have a lot to work on and need some assistance so I'm trying to set the tone and really begin discussing our issues and what we should have done in certain positions. Truth is, I don't want to quit playing poker but be profitable on the contrast and I'm hoping you guys can help me like I want to help you whenever applicable so we can follow in the footsteps of NDN.

well i can say this over the years i have been playing i am up. i use to play at paradise poker b4 the US ban. they use to have these $5 sit n go's with like 150 people n i use to win alot by playing that. at least 1-2 times aday. pot for 1st was like $350. ive played alot on poker4ever n use to make a killing there. they would have these 5k poker points freerolls there. 1st place was like 1k. i won a few of those. i would say i am way up from when i started. dont get me wrong i have taken some bad beats in my time. well after all the furniture and tv n surround sound i have bought in the past few years i can still say i am up. i like to see some of my winnings go to useful needs. poker online hasnt been that bad to me. my wife hates it but i work my schedule to play poker around her so it has gotten alot better.

i say eejit with that 65k win is definetly on top. still amazed by it.

in my experience in playing poker , what i can say about playing poker is you should be wise and know when to stop and also dont be too greedy while winning , you need to be contented with what you have cause there are still many more days to play.Dont press your luck cause if you do your luck might run out.

Could you share any advice or suggestions for stopping yourself, such as things you say to yourself or set limits before you begin playing?

i dont sent winings limits but i do set time limits for each session weather up or down i set my session limit its always the same or if i lose to max buyins then i quit but that is just me ask klink what his limits are

I don't advocate quitting just because you are ahead. When you are winning, people fear and respect you, thus allowing you to win more. I do advocate setting time limits for your play, as not doing so can affect other parts of your life.
