not a bad beat but a bad day

redeemed chips here at NDN and i played dueces wild , jacks or better and joker poker at PDC whole day today , was losing at first but in the long run i ended up almost doubling my bankroll from playing video poker. then later on i played at the real money tables 10/25 cent blinds and was really trying to be patient and was waiting for y turn to get the winning cards , folded and folded every hand until i got a pair of 5's on my blind and flop came 45J and i made a $1 bet and the next guy raised my bet and made it $6 and everyone folds and i still have more than $20 left to call him and reraise the bet and i went all in with three of a kind 5 and he called and he had a pair of J's making him trip J's and that was it . ending my day. was not a bad beat but a bad day decision.well better luck next time.

Can't really practice much bankroll management with such a small bankroll.

I guess you could buyin for the minimum in a cash game. That would make you less likely to go broke.

With a bankroll of $20 or so, you should be playing the 5c/10c NL tables, not the 10c/25c NL tables. The other option is to play in the $2 SNG Bounty tournament on PDC. If you finish 3rd you get paid and make your money back. Take someone out and you make profit.

thanks guys , one mistake i made is bringing in all my bankroll could have only brought $5 and not all of it so if an all-in happens and i got in the middle of it i will only have to stake $5.

Don't get down on yourself regarding that hand. Yes, it was a bad beat but it happens in poker. You made the right move, he didn't but you can't worry about what he did and how he was awarded. What else are you going to do with trip 5's... Fold? yea right, the pro's would tell you that you made the right decision anyday.
