Default Biggest Poker win of the year

    Congratulations freeringo,

Out of 184 players in Tournament 11677198 ($1,000 GTD R&A), you came in 2nd and have won $202.74.

You've also been awarded 1.4 FPP for participating in the tournament.

    Best wishes,
    Cake Support

I finished mowing lawn yesterday morning and at 7:50 (started 7am) I decided I would test my luck in the Cake $2 $1000 Grt R & A turbo, prize pool at $1316
I registed and was placed in BB with 400 and K8s and of course I called the buttons all in with A-3. I won and break started. after break I went all in with AK on button vs only blinds and BB bigstack called me with KQ and he flopped a set of queens.

So I re bought since I have over $150 of free Cake money and 2 hands later another break for add ons. I added on and rebought now $8 in.
3 hands later I had 89 in BB and called a min raise and flopped 2 pair.
I check then all in from other player with KK and a call by another player with 10 10 . I tripled up when board showed 89Q23
By the time I got to final table I had just 25k chips and 6000 blinds and had only won 20 hands out of 211, 7-10 showdowns.
I did suffer a huge beat when I had 68k and KK against a 3. But got all chips back from same guy with JJ vs 10 10 later on.
Most intense moment came with me in 1st position and JJ. I don't like to raise from 1st position bad luck.. I raise 14k of 32k and big stack snap raises me and I called. HE had JJ too ahhhhh
I ended up with JJ 5 times on final table and won showdown on 4 of them and 1 tie. That's some dang good luck there. HU I had 150k vs 900k lasted 20 hands
my only regret is that I can't play today or tomorrow
usally my hot streaks last 3-4 days
we will never know this time
I am in no hurry since I need $500 to cashout and get a check and it takes 3-4 months, other options available for everyone but US players
better to wait until legal again or

Are there any Canadian friends who would like to make a trade for some Cake money?

    WOW
I came back with 2 Back to back wins last night at Cake, winning the hpc game for $55 and the ndp game for $39. I now have $440 bankroll starting from scratch and getting closer to the $500 needed to cashout. should get it by xmas

Nice. It's a little sweeter when you start late with a small stack and still pull off a nice cash. The time I remember most was a freezeout. I sat in nearly an hour late with only about 10BB left, but was lucky enough to win it for over $400.

    Congrats ! Well done !

I also had some nice experiences this year, for instance:

Some days ago i had in the same tournament ($4.40 8max MTT on PokerStars) a back-to-back final table within 24 hours ! (my name: Daniel72ko)

    4th place for $104.32 (326 players)

...and in the same tourney 24 later:

    2nd place for $184.76 (298 players)
