This is insane. We can get to the moon (apparently), people can fly planes into buildings, and we can dive to the bottom of the discoverer trench.

HOWEVER - The best way to deal with a fire is to get a helicopter with a thimble of water to drop it on it? Surely there is better ways?

I will post another video that shows that most of the work was done by men and a bull dozer. The helicopter came in late and was dropping water on the bull dozer. Amazingly lucky, there was a un frozen pond just 2000 yards away to get water from in FN Janurary. Remeber the wind was howling so the helicopter pilot did a hell of a job
