What do you think of a Best original photo and or video contest?

This should be a monthly contest to give members plenty of time to create and upload a quality photo.

Announce Hi, Low or Hi/Low
Members have a week to earn 4 cards by answering correct questions
On the last 3 days of contest NDN flops 3 common cards, then 1 card and then 1 card.

If it's a Hi or Low card week then a players 2 best cards are used and a player with less than 4 cards can still compete for best hand.

more fun and less work for everyone

the thrill will be like the lottery every 7 days waiting for that river card
it will be standing room only! if only I could operate a hot dog stand outside

above post/idea would create a weekly thrill for multiple members instead of the current 1/2 way through the week and the feeling of can't possibly win because leader has 9 cards and I have 2

It may sound easier to you, but we don't really have a lot of Omaha players around these parts and I fear we would only confuse everyone an deter them from playing.

What do you think of a Best original photo and or video contest?

This should be a monthly contest to give members plenty of time to create and upload a quality photo.

My issues with this are...

1. Very few people are capable of producing videos and posting them on the internet.
2. Almost as many people are incapable of doing the same thing with a photo.
3. With regards to photos, there's really no way to tell which ones are original and which ones aren't.
4. It would be tough to declare a winner if we had some genuinely original photos/videos posted.

And would also be a good example of why a photo/video contest really wouldn't be very feasible. Think we need the ease of using technology to progress a bit more.

Just do holdem, then everyone only needs 2 cards to have a shot, keep the game going til all but 5 cards are drawn, then thats the board, person thatcan make the best hand with any 2 pocket cards wins... this would prob take about 2 wks... 10$ goes to the winner, then whats left over each wk goes into a pot, and the first person to achieve say like 10s full of jacks or better, wins that pot.

that way there is still incentive and a advantage to getting as many cards as possible, cus u trying to win the "Jackpot" along with having multiple card combos to make the best holdem hand

the pot wouldnt go on for too long i think... eejit was a card away from quad 10s last time and has a open ended straight flush draw this time

Just had a thought.

Once a player is happy with their hand.... instead of them having nothing to do till the game is over, can they not keep answering, and if they wish to keep their hand, that can simple ask under their answer for you to draw a random card and remove it from the game?

This means obviously everyone has something to do for a while while this game completes.
