Taylor Breedlove was born December 19, 1985, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Holland Hall in 2004, she attended the University of Tulsa where in 2009, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Classical Studies with Minors in Philosophy and History. Taylor was in the process of obtaining her Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the University of Tulsa. Taylor was an amazing woman who lived an amazing life with Amazing Grace. Taylor’s faith was strong, giving her the courage, strength and stamina to address the many challenges she faced each and every day. Taylor had a wonderful sense of humor. Her love of life, as well as her laugh, was contagious. To be Taylor’s friend was a gift. She was supportive and loyal, empathizing with and seeing the good in everyone. She was accepting of all and never judgmental. Taylor was an advocate for those who did not have a voice. In 1997, at age 11, she testified before a United States House Appropriations Subcommittee in Washington D.C. at the invitation of Michael Ehrlich, MD, chairman of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons’ Committee on Research. In requesting expanded funding for musculoskeletal research, Taylor testified how advances in medical research enabled Dr. Ehrlich to perform unprecedented procedures that allowed Taylor to live an incredibly complete and exciting life. Music of all genres was important to Taylor, with the music of the Beatles holding a special place in her heart. In her short life, she became a gifted writer, eloquently expressing her often strong, but always thoughtful, opinions. Taylor had an adventurous spirit, and although she was not physically able to do many of the things she wished to do, she appreciated those things she could do, never taking anything for granted. Taylor’s positive outlook on life was inspirational. Her spirit will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

there are still times i wish i could talk to her and still cant believe it. its not often or ever you can find a true angel, and i am humbled to say i know a few, she is one of them
