Nakoma Golf

another weekend I postponed gold prospecting in favor
of golfing. we left 6am it was 50 degrees at 4200ft and I wore shorts
and a thin golf shirt expecting mid seventies
we drive to Portola 85 miles away and 5000 feet and it's freezing cold because of one big cloud. Usally clouds in the morning means warm in the mountains but we had an inversion layer and it was warmer at 6000 feet
than 5000. It did warm up a bit when we teed off at 10 am. I played this couse last month and shot a 94 but drove the ball great. This course is
so difficult because it was built on the side of a mountain and the locals call it a goat trail. We only played 9 holes because the back nine was closed for airation but I did play extremely well today surprisingly
I birdied two holes 3 footer and 35 footer and only 2 bogeys for and even par 36.
There was difference though. Last time I played from the white tees and this time we played from the red ones. My best friend had a bad hand and could only hit his 3 wood 160 yards max. So from the reds he was able to keep the ball out of the ravines and still at least have a makeabke approach. While he had 140 in on most par 4s, I was playing these incredible difficult side hill over 5 bunkers 30-60 yard shots where I could barely see the top of the flag.

I did not get any pictures I left my camera with my wife and she used up the batteries with a terrific video of her walking around for 36 minutes with the camera on and dangling from her wrist. LOL

I will however try again to upload the videos I got of my dogs interacting with deer
