    Default Ringo's $100

I just won a free $100 and now it is time to turn it into a $1000
I need everyones help to keep me informed on what would be a good wager.

my first bet I made today is:

    Darren Clarke 6.50 USD10.00 USD65.00

The Grand Slam of Golf starts this morning and Darren Clark is playing with all the young guns, Mc Ilroy is 2.50 odds but he showed up late yesterday from playing in China and has never been to Bermuda. I expect him to have major jet lag today. The other two Schwartzel and Bradley have never played Bermuda either and are not strong wind players. Darren displayed some great shots in yesterdays practice round, again Rory didn't show up to until hole 17, some 2 hours late.
Also Darren is an outstanding wind player and is relaxed, knows the course and has an angel on his shoulder.
I will really enjoy watching him win.
only 2 rounds favors Darren as well

please post any other bets that I should make

You do realise this whole thing you have on home/road stuff is rubbish right. Having a different stadium around you will not really affect how well you play. Surffaces over here are all outdoors, no indoors or turf or anything (Unless you play in moscow).

I'd Have an arsenal win, as on form, and in life, they NEED the money from qualifying for the playoffs in this. Badly.

Hmmmm I shall research for 30 minutes then decide

this is what I posted on another site...

Im a cards fan, and hate to say it, but I think they lose... they won the Brewers series from scouting, they played them 20+ times this yr, and were very familiar w the pitchers, Half the cards bullpen the brewers seen only a few times late in the season, and the cards used that... plus the brewers were up to some shady things throughout the season at home and the cards found ways to defend against it... Thie series is gonna be lost by the Cards starting pitches, they wont be able to continue to lean on their bullpen for much longer and the firepower of the Rangers atleast matches that of the Cads lineup... The Rangers pitching outduels the Cards and they win...

yep its cold as ****... dont know about low 30s... prob about 42 by gametime... its gonna be damp with light rain all day but I dont see any more than that... but its been about this way for about 3 days now... so is that enough time 4 the Rangers to aclement? depending on what day they arrived in town?... Rumors about a Carpenter elbow Inflammation, after a 5 day lay off, w this weather, how does that work out?... Im going w the over, with all the power hitters, Cardinals ability to manufactor runs w Napoli behind the plate, wind, checkered past of both starters this season, injury qestions, both teams winning series in cold climate like wisconsin and detroit... 7.5 seems pretty low to me.

My best friend is a die hard gunners fan, so I know enough of how they play, but not as much as that bloody chav eegit... bet on Real Madrid to win it ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I have decided to bet Arsenal game under 2 1/2 goals at 1.80
because of the 0-0 vs Man U and 1-0 vs Chelsea last year at home
I think Marseilles stacks it up on defense and plays for a 0-0 tie and wins their bracket

Dude, do you know anything about "soccer"?

Arsenal v Man U and Arsenal v Chelsea were completely different games.

This game will go over 2.5 goals. When man u and chelsea played them, they were in the premier league, a league where getting a draw is ok vs those teams.

In the short format of the champions league, and with Arsenal needing a result away in order to make qualification easier sot hey can concentrate on the league, they will start good players, or be moderately attack minded.

Also - their defence is not the best.

AND MY MAIN POINT - WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT LAST YEAR??????

This year Arsenal played Man United and lost 8-2. EIGHT TWO. In "soccer" thats unheard of.

They do NOT have a good defence, and will concede. However, they do have a good offence, and Marseille is not that impressive, so you should be looking at around a 2-2 result, or 2-1 Arsenal.

Your bets are made with no actual knowledge of the game man. This year so far they have averaged a goals scored int he league of 1, and conceded 2. So theres 3 goals on an average day. coming off a 2-1 win at home to Sunderland, and with their key players not injured, and having bonded mroe as a team, i really do see a game with 3 or more goals here, and in my opinion, Arsenal sneak a 3-2 win.

But, dont listen to the guy who went 4-4 on here yesterday, up to you.

Then again, if they draw 0-0 now... ill look like a fool.

Just dont research last season, as the team was incredibly different, they had Nasri, Fabregas, Bentdner, all up front, and a goalkeeper who was decent. Thats how they managed to keep clean sheets and score a goal vs the BEST DEFENCES IN THE LEAGUE!

Marseille are french. The game is different over there. The french league is very lop sided, only 2 or 3 would manage to stay int he UK league and have a decent record and not get relegated.

So, IMO, change your damn bet, and do the accumulator with Arsenal in it.

Also - My 2 bets, one with Arsenal win, one with a draw... both pay $150+ on a $10 bet. Good odds.

Lol, i went to alot of trouble to write all that for him, with stats and info. You cant predict everything or it wouldnt be called gambling, but 3.3 on Arsenal to win? Wtf.

Stop looking into 2 years ago results, and what odds there are. The team they are playing is good. They wont win the league and will look for a champions league run.

    Why does noone trust me?

im at 78% this year on NFL picks (WITH LINES), not just teams, and 4/4 on soccer.

    you guys suck.

HAHAHAHA, I never understood the "research" into past yrs either... especially in sports that basically have entire new squads like every 9 months or so

And Ya... this match is a Streak 4 the Cash Pick, I always stay away from the games that they put on there... Those A-holes are good at picking Matches that defy the Lines

this match makes the entire bet worth while.

    Winning $180 = much better than $35.

Just get it done and risk it

is the detrmenation in group stage goal differential or home/aways goal totals?

... looking at the bracket, I like the draw, since it seems that Arsenal would feel like a away draw to Marsielle (really the only team in the bracket they have to worry about) would be a win for them, and Marsielle to be all out defensive to avoid giving Arsenal as many aways goals as possible... the other 2 teams are a decent amount of pace behind, and both arsenal and marsielle would seem to love any result that isnt a loss.

I get where Ringo is coming from w that, but I always agree with a Asenal win/draw being atleast better than 5o/5o odds... and getting over 3 to 1 on a Arsenal win, is really good value

Top 2 qualify for the knockout stages, and 3rd drops down to the europa cup (basically the same event but for less good clubs).

Its done on goal difference, if that is tied then goals scored, if that is tied then games between the 2 teams, if that is tied then away goals. If that is tied then who knows? Never happened.

    And as stated...

1 - Both teams will go for the win - CORRECT
2 - Arsenal will be the better team - CORRECT

    3 - Many goals - Incorrect.

HOWEVER - Both teams should have had a blatent penalty so far. So in my head its 1-1 and im right, as refereeing decisions cannot be blamed for my prediction!

I didn't parlay other 3 games because they added up to only 1.63 odds and I couldn't add on an Aresenal tie in there
