My nephew is there in the air force. He just finished bootcamp in Texas. I already told him we would be making a roadtrip to see him. Looking forward to going to a real casino, it will be so much better than HardRock. How much were the hotels and are they actually inside the casinos?

most the casinos were casino/resorts, we didnt stay at any of them, stayed at the wingate 5 mins down the road in deiberville... I played at the IP and the Isle, from what I read they were the best options for my budget, the big one was called the something "rouge", but all the cash games are uncapped buy-ins, and I wasnt sure about sitting down w 300$ in a game like that... the beach was cool, but not as nice as the ones in playa del carmen or carlsbad california (the only 2 others I have been 2)... the whole trip cost us 500$ all together (not including poker, where I left down 200$), including gas (from st. louis), hotel, fast food on the way down and back... 3 night stay... we ate for free at the harrahs/ceasars property cuz I had like 200$ on my total rewards card from playing at Harrahs in STL

lol, I like playing live more... always have, I play 1/2 here in st. louis and have for about 3 yrs, I do better playing live 1/2

online I was playing .25/.50 .50/1 and did the best at these levels

when I first started I was playing live/online tournaments, gave that crap up cuz I was losing my ***... I don't like multi-table tournaments at all

... I believe its playing at a rising blind structure that I completely suck at

ScareCrowAKA, I just wanted to let you know that Harrah's St. Louis is by far the best Harrah's property I have been to so far (I've been to their locations in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Vegas, and Laughlin).

Their employees are incredibly kind and that's probably the main reason why we return there on a regular basis. Not to mention their hosts go out of their way to make the trip worthwhile.

They also have one of the best Diamond lounges I have seen; you can't beat the balcony seating for the VooDoo Lounge! We were last down there for New Year's and loved watching Cowboy Mouth perform.

That reminds me that a trip to STL is overdue! I'll give you a shout the next time we head down there (possibly August) and perhaps we can jump in a game together.

For anyone who is looking for a casino trip and is sick of the Vegas / Atlantic City options; you should seriously consider Harrah's St. Louis. Hands down the best all-around casino in my opinion and there is plenty to do in STL (and they have a handful of other casinos within in a short driving distance as well).

If anyone is considering a trip there let me know and I'll put you in touch with a great host.

ya, anytime... I joined your guys facebook, so shoot me something on there when you come down... I havnt been surfing the internet alot since i jumped back into school, between class, clinicals, work. I barley get enough time to play poker... but I make time lol

Harrahs st. louis is def the best poker room I have played in so far... ive played around here, chicago, & biloxi... it just sucks that st. louis is so small that people start to recognize me... thats why I kind of limited myself to one live session a wk at different days and times and then play online whenever Im up some money sports betting... the other 3 casinos, river city, lumiere place, and ameristar have games going on most the time 2, but they are smaller... so less to choose from in the 1/2 level

...the dealers are pretty awesome at Harrahs STL
