As some of you may have heard ,Serbian Police raided the offices of Go wild casino today and arrested all 35 employees ,even the clerical staff for operating a online casino from Serbia.From what we know the servers and all files are now in possession of Serbian police so if you have an account please do not log in .There is nobody there to assist in support or cash out.I had a friend translate for me some online news and it said Serbia is going to share its finding with other countries who have a ban on online gambling.Israel was the main country it quoted but it may apply to USA too:(

Regional media in Belgrade, Serbia are reporting that the local police have broken up an online gambling ring and made a number of arrests. The Interior Ministry has revealed that those arrested are to be charged with organising an illegal enterprise, namely; online gambling operations at Go Wild Casino and Casino Titan, which allegedly do not have permits from the Serbian National Lottery and the Games of Chance Administration at the Ministry of Finance.
It is understood that in addition to the arrests, computer equipment and records were seized in “Operation Atlantis”. The suspects allegedly provided gambling services to both Europe and the United States with deposits made electronically to offshore accounts and later transferred to Serbia.

I have been in this industry a few years and doing news postings has been one of my jobs , Any time a Law enforcement agency has a database of an online casino is bad IMO.Here is my opinion on how the online gambling situation will play out and this is only my opinion so take it with a grain of salt but it could happen.Department of Justice arrested neteller owners in January 2007.Part of the deal they made with them was that neteller would turn over their entire DB and of course they lost the money in the accounts.I seriously think one day there will be massive tax evasion cases in USA tied to online gambling.Other than that why would they care who had accounts ,yes part of it was to follow the money trail but if they were after merchants they would have just got that db.USA lottery winnings and casino wins are taxable ,this is where they can get the USA gamblers ,at least the winners.The may not win the argument that online gambling is illegal and it is money laundering but the unclaimed winnings they probably can prove and these are the gamblers who need to worry.
