    Wow NDN would you like to help me with some of my mixture word problems in math? I bet you could set up the equations with no problem. ; )

    But you are smart NDN. I mean even though you guesstimated it, you could surly put an equation together for it, right? It looked and sounded good to me. I should have checked to figure it, but I assume that you would know how much time you spent conversing with eeejj over the last 5 years. Huh!

    M = number of months chatted to.
    years = 5
    5 = multiplied by 12 to equal the month.

    So equation = (12x5y)/M

    I would do it like this....

    First think about the question.

    13 months is what % of 5 years or 60 months?

    second write the equation

    13/12 = x times 5
    or
    13 = x times 60

    third simplify

    13 = 60x

    solve

    13/60 = 60x/60

    21.7% = x

    So 13 months is 21.7% of 5 years.

    Pretty close to what NDN said! : )
