As I've been a member for quite a while, it's hard to know where to begin. I'll start with the basics though. I'm a 21 year old Graduate from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Information Systems Technology. Though I love computers, I'm not that great of a programmer, and I wish I had taken another path through college that suited my strengths more, but it was way to late to change when I figured that out. I met the wonderful "taylovesthebeatles" all the way back in the summer after sophomore year of college, we've been madly in love ever since.
I found NoDepositNeeded.com about 5 years ago, I was on Absolute Poker at the time looking for freerolls and saw the NDNPT, found the site and join the poker tour. I started playing the freerolls and small buy in game, and did fairly well. I won one and had a few other final tables as well. I remember the champions event. I was quite excited that I qualified given I joined halfway through the season. I finished 4th when my AK got beat by AJ.
I've been working hard on my poker skills, always trying to stay one step ahead of the crowd. Steady wins are hard to come by. In my poker career, I've deposited ran up then lost several times before I learned my lesson. I've also come back from the brink of busto a couple of times as well. I've got a couple of fun stories I could tell hehe.
I've always loved card games, they are truly my passion. I learned draw and stud poker from my dad when I was 5, because I insisted he teach me lol. I learned Euchre when I was a boy scout. It's kind of sad that it was that late when I learned it compared to poker, since Euchre is the "official" game of my home town. I also learned Magic: the Gathering while I was in boy scouts, a passion that's been a part of my life since. I also learned bridge while in high school. Given that I'm under 50, it's hard to find a bridge game so I haven't really played since. I'm still grateful for the opportunity to play every card game that I can, and love that I have the opportunity to play one with all of you.
I have other interests outside of the wide world of card games too. I follow horse racing extensively, and hope that my posts on the subject have been entertaining and useful. I'm definitely not a good horseplayer, I can show you clearly that I am an overall loser. So be sure to take my picks with a grain of salt. I'm also an avid bowler. My high game is 296 in practice and 288 in league, and my high series is 718. I even used some of my poker winnings a few years back to buy a new bowling ball, that made me happy.
As I am always interested in the behind the scenes of things I enjoy, I try to keep my finger on the pulse of online poker and gambling. I follow pokerscout.com and egamingreview and lurk at places like casinomeister and 2+2. I have issues with certain sites and networks, and will lay them all out for you to see in a follow up thread. Suffice it to say that my studies of Information Systems give me unique prospective on online poker software and security that I'm happy to share, good, bad and ugly. I'm outspoken on these issues because my money, and the ability to move it around and access it when I need it, are important to me.
I hope this gives you all a little insight into the klinkman. I've come into my own over the last few years, I've found a girl who loves me, friends that I love, games that I love to play, and a life I enjoy. I'm truly blessed to have everything that I do, and I hope I can share it with all of you through the forums.
