Full Tilt Matrix Tournaments

How do you guys feel about them?

I've fallen in love with the 300 chip super turbo matrixes.

I was just playing a $14+1 super matrix in which I placed 1/1/2/3

I was so pissed that I didn't place first in all of them. In one of the heads ups, I was down 2400-300 and won it. In the other I won, I was the favorite throughout.

In the one I placed second, was down to 160, fought back to even and I flopped an ace and he called with his 77 on an A64 board and the turn/river came 8 5 to put me in secnod.

In the one I placed third, I was tied with second place with third far behind ans I pushed all in with TT and A4 called and rivered an ace.

If not for these 2 bad beats, I take home dominatrix and win $75.60 instead of the crappy $50.04 I did win.

$75 better though. U did well be happy that!
Matrix is fun sometime I play but I prefer the SNG

I generally play 2-4 games at a time anyway, so I like to play the matrices for that little extra added bonus if I do well.

The problem I've found with the matrix is that you need to finish in the top 3 of all of them every time to make decent money. They break the pot down so much that it becomes complicated if you only do good in 2 and bomb the other 2 to even get your buy in back. I don't think they are a very positive EV game. If you are good at SNG's, I would think sticking to them and multi-tabling is better.

The Matrix is just 4 SnGs for 1/5th the price of the buyin with the last 1/5th going to the final prize pool.

It all depends on whether or not you play in a way that is conducive to knockouts, because if you don't get KOs, you're not going to do well in the matrix standings (which is why I love the 300 chip super turbos...you get KOs to advance or you lose, pretty much)

I love them because it's VERY hard to lose more than 25% of your buyin, but I very often double up on my buyin with occasional triple ups.

wow ok i tried ...im not a multitasker but i made back a little over half my buyin..was in the dollar one....wowsa....i saw some weird play ..don't know if i think its ppl using these to tag team or just bad play ....definitely a game to play by itself...it is very fast paced....(2,4,5,5) of a 9 top and i came 4th in points which paid nada but i can see an accomplished player doing well in these...if we don't get them full of team players...saw some suspicious plays and this would be an easy one to do it in and prosper.

People are much more aggressive in these because knockouts give 2 points per in the matrix totals.

I think the Matrix games are Full-Tilt's answer to the "Double or Nothing" games offered by others sites.

Me myself, I like the DON games better. Alot easier to win.
If I had a choice I would play single table "bountys". Then the Maxtrix or DON, but that's just me....
