How does the chips system works?

I think the chips system here is really cool.
But I find wird how it pays me, on some posts I get something like 15 chips and on others of the same size I get around 30 chips.
Why would thay occur? Is there an especif criteria for the earning chips? How can I know how much I will earn at each post?

You earn chips based on the length of your post and the reputation tier you are on. It seems to me you've had no trouble earning chips so far so I'm not sure why you're asking this question, lol! But read your welcome e-mail and if you still have a question, probably best to ask NDN or eejit. Hope that helps.

Each rep you get counts towards your tier.

Your on tier 2.

The number of each tier is the amount of chips per word in your post.

Tier 2 = 0.2 per word.
Tier 3 = 0.3 per word

And so on.

I think there are 20 reps between levels.
