Small Bankroll Strategy
Well I have a little technique I have been using to turn small amounts of poker cash into a few hundred dollars with literally just a couple hours a day of the course on 3-4 days. I have done this multiple times so I figured now would be a good time to share this info with everyone here at NDN.
If my bankroll consists of $10, I will sit down at a .10/.25 NL table. If my bankroll is $20, I will run two tables of .10/.25 NL poker. The idea here is to diversify your bankroll. You want to get at the point of running 3 tables of .10/.25 NL poker sitting down at each table with the $10. This is how I start off this strategy. It is important to diversify to protect yourself against bad beats. It is much less likely you will catch a bad beat at all tables thus making even more likely you will be able to double up.
The above strategy requires a player to only play the PRIMO hands. By primo hands I mean AA, KK, QQ, JJ, 1010. Anything less this this should be played a bit more carefully. If you have pocket 9's or worse, you are better to be patient and let a flop trip you up. Whenever you trap someone you are much more likely to double up on that particular hand. If you bet someone out of the hand, you would have wasted good cards.
Hands such as AK, AQ, AJ, A10 you still have to play with some caution. I might raise with .75 with AK, AQ or AJ. If someone reraises me with AJ I will almost always fold. The idea here is to strike when you know you have the upper hand. If there is any doubt then don't do it.
Once you have doubled your bank roll to $60, you will be able to sit down at the .25/.50 NL tables. You will open 3 tables at $20 per table. I do not suggest playing more then 3 tables at any given time.
From here you will apply the same rules as above, you will wait until you double up to $120 at which time you may now sit at 3 .50/1.00 tables with $40 at each table. You may even wish to wait until your bank roll is up to $200 just for added protection of your bankroll. It all depends on how quickly you wish to reach your overall goal.
Set Goals - You as a responsible poker play should get a goal. Once the goal is reach, cash out your winnings leaving yourself enough to start the process all over again. There has been times when I would veer off from the strategy with disastrous results. I find when I stick to the plan, I always end up ahead.
GL all :)
