Unbelieveable luck on Carbon
So yesterday I placed second in the NDNPT game and got $7.50, made $2.50 on the Carbon Blackjack. So I had $10 and, having never played Carbon before, I just bought into a $2 heads up, a $3 heads up, a $2 bounty, and a $2 All in or Fold.
The luck I had on this streak was just amazing. I placed first in the bounty with 2 knockouts, first in the all in or fold, and finished with the chip lead in both heads up games.
First up: $2 Bounty SnG 10 handed
Didn't win a single hand aside from blind stealing until it was 5 handed.
All in with KQ against 77 against A4. He hits his 4 but I hit my Q on flop.
Now 4 left with my first bounty under my belt. After a few more hands, I take out KT with my AA, 3 left and 2 bounties down.
At this point, I have so many chips I'm all in with anything. Pushed with 93 against TJ.
69QQA
3 knocked out, and now heads up. I give him some of my chips, about 3:2 on him and go all in with T9 vs Q2. 8QAJ4.
lawl, 4 knockouts and first place when i had my starting value in chips and no knockouts with 5 left.
$2 NL Hold 'Em Double Up:
Double up early with AK vs AJ and coast the rest of the way. This game was boring.
$3 NL Hold 'Em Double Up:
Double up with JJ vs KJ. A few hands later, I call preflop raise with AK. Flop comes 68Q. Call a medium size bet to me, and hit K on turn to take down a fairly sizeable pot. Again, nothing spectacular. Take out another all in later on to bring it down to 5 and win the tourny with AK vs A9 and pushed 99 out of pot despite not hitting anything. Nothing special
$2 NL Hold 'Em All in or Fold
The first hand I got lucky on out of all 4 games I was palying...I ACCIDENTALLY hit call early on with J2 against 99. Hit my J on the flop to double up early.
So I go all in later down the line with 89. AQ calls and I hit 8 on flop. He hits Q on turn. I hit 9 on river. Woo! A few hands later, i'm all in again with A9 vs QQ. Hit A on flop. Last hand of tourny, all in with AQ vs JQ. Guy hits J on flop. I win with A on turn.
While nothing is ridiculous here, I just hit a crazy streak of good luck with, a good half of the time, the worse hand. I was winning every race and winning every time I was supposed to even if my opponent hit.
It's days like this that make you want to play poker, even if I did only win $20 in total.
