Are you kidding me? You're using a dog attacking a human story as a defense for Scumbag Vick?

Ok first I did not check out the thread pressed for time, probally most attacks on humans are dogs that were bred for fighting.Even gaurd dogs are bred to attack humans, police dogs ,etc.Thats not the dogs fault.Look Vick is a great ballplayer and fans will still cheer for him,he is a product of his enviroment, but he klled them in a cruel, cruel way.No forgiviveness from LIL for him.
Vick is a scumbag.
But keeping dangerous animals as pets is stupid.
They all get put down = case closed
I like the idea of maybe having a big bada$$ cat for a pet, like a siberian tiger or mountain lion, but then i dont think folks would come around much to check out the new kitty. Dogs are wimps, get a cat.
Most of the time if a dog even bites someone even on the dogs property the owner of the dog loses the home owner carrier if they don't have the dog put down. Sometimes depending on the situation the owner of the dog is required by law to have the dog put down. Now that is from my experience of it happening to three people I know. Two of them bit children while the dog was eating. One had to have the dog put to sleep the other had to find new a new insurance carrier. The third dog was just a mean mean dog bit twice on two different occasions the dog had to be put down. So a dog killing someone I am pretty sure would have to go. I am scared to death of dogs.
As for this Vick who was cruel in doing what he did he should be punished. What a creep.
One of my proudest moments was when my dog on her chain (my last dog) was attacked by a mob of 3 dogs. She kicked all of their asses.
She did get her nose ripped open, but it healed in a few weeks.
People don't know how to raise dogs right and they become wild.
Rural areas have a big problem with wild dogs.
Many rural counties can't afford to keep an Animal contol officer on more than P/T.
I called about a wild dog and I was told to catch it and they will come get it.
They can lend me a trap, but it will take 2 weeks to get out to my house.
Spay and Neuter your pets.:willy_nilly:
The only reason micheal vick is apologizing and acting like he didnt know how bad he acted at the time is because he got CAUGHT!! he did his horrible crimes for 6 years!! he bankrolled the operation, setup and promoted the the operation, and killed the dogs not willing or able to fight to his expectations. I dont care if he so called payed his debt to society he should give at least half of all his earnings to the human society VOLUNTARY then maybe I would begin to maybe forgive this &*)$#@!%
whats so bad about vick trying to change his life and do the right thing now. i mean you people arent even willing to give the guy a second chance. think about where you would be in life now if you were never given a second chance to fix your faults. its like you guys are beating a dead horse with the whole vick thing. he did what he did and served his time and is still paying for it. let the man try to get his life on track.
the above statment doesnt mean i agree with what he did. i just think we all should be given second chances.
also since his conviction there has been several big cases where dog fighting was involved. how come they werent posted and talked about. seems like you all rather beat up vick about it and act like he was the first only to this kinda thing. move down south and i gtd you will see some sort of dog fighting going on in most neightbor hoods. doesn this make it right, no, but i think you guys should look more at the big picture instead on one guy involed. for some reason if this was an white athlete i dont think the public would of blown this up as much. thats just my 2 cents.
ps i am white btw. born and raised in the stick east of dallas.
J Edgar Hoover liked little boys and he was president.
Michael Jackson did too.
There should be no room for prejudice in our hearts.
Let the man be, what he has the freedom as a free American, to be.
There are plenty of people to choose to hate.
But, that's just what it is, hate!!!!
Why even explore that emotion???
I love Michael Vick because he is a sinner like the rest of us and he stood like a man and took his punishment. He is a better man than most.
Like someone who lies???
buncha haters with no heart to give someone a second chance. why is it so hard because he was a football star. i mean come on they already made there point with him and he did what he did and paid for it. get over already. and to give half of his money. he doesnt even have any. he is playing for free this year even thought he got a 1.7 million contract. he owes alot of money to debtors.
ok #1: Vick served 18 months(?) for torturing and killing dogs for 6 years.. hmm doesn't really sound like the punishment fit the crime but that wasn't for me to decide; #2: Only reason he stopped is because he got caught. That is not remorse, that is equivalent to a brother apologizing to his sister for kicking her because Mom saw him do it; #3: Like all professional athletes, Vick is in a role model position; young children look up to him and idolize him. He is absolutely not someone I would want my children looking to as a role model. His crimes were horrendous, we're not talking about rolling a stop sign here. I do believe that he should be able to get on with his life, but I don't believe he should do it in the public eye and I certainly don't think he should be getting millions of dollars to do it.
