Goldie and her 3 bears
This weekend at our cabin had some drama early Saturday morning.
Our Dog started barking toward the creek very strongly.
His hairs were reaised and he was backing up.
I thought bear right off. The creek is across the road and some
300 yards from our cabin. We have had a bear in our valley before.
Her name is Goldie because she is golden color. I have seen her 3 times in the last 5 years.
Well the barking continued toward the side of our property and then the back.
I walked back behind our water tank and got a clear view of what Bandit was barking at.
150 yards ahead was Goldie and her mate and 3 good sized cubs.
I wish I had my camera.
Looks like I need to take the bears a little more serious now.
They crossed the road and within 200 yards of 2 cabins when people were present. That's pretty brave.

That had to of been an awe inspiring feeling, viewing something so amazing, yet so simple. I wish i had of been there. Just to be on the safe side though stay away from them cubs at all cost. I read somewheres that bears are very protective of thier young. Get some pepper spray if its legal in your part of the world, its one of the best non-lethal repellents to help ya out in a bear bind. They cant see, plus their nose is very sensitive.Just spray and haul:cuss:
