I Am So EXCITED! and STRESSED all at once!

I have to share this as I am full of so much excitement that it might blow me up if I don't tell every body!

Yesterday afternoon I checked my voice mail on my cell phone. I did not answer it because where I live is nothing gets reception. Therefore my cell will not ring and so forth. Anyway there is a message from my oldest daughter, Jessica. She say's, "momma call me back I have something I need to tell you."
I am thinking OMG what is wrong. By the way Jessica lives in Texas. I have not seen her for some over two years. So of coarse I call her back and she does not answer. Then my phone went dead. Grrrrr So I waited a bit and I called her again and she answered. Guess what she said, she said "momma I am coming home for two weeks on Aug. 18." Yesssssssssss! Now I am crying on the phone and actually now as I type too. I am so happy! I miss her so much you can't imagine. I can't wait!

I am so happy! I feel so empty without her!

One bad thing though school begins on Aug 17, wouldn't you know it, and I have some hard classes this semester. I am stressing the fact that I am going to fall behind as my thoughts will not be totally focused at school. As my daughter is very important to me. I almost don't want to go because I want to spend as much time with her as possible. But my school is very important too and I am in a place with it that I can't just not do it. Even though Jessica means more than life to me, I don't have a choice in the matter about my classes. Point blank I have to go.

I wonder what I am supposed to learn from this situation. Could somebody tell me how something so good can be so hard. Is everything that is good in life hard. Why does nothing just come easy. Still I know that I have truly been blessed!

Do you know if your teacher/school will allow guests to sit in on your classes? You might explain the situation to them and see if your daughter can come with you as long as there isn't a test or something and she doesn't disrupt. That way you can still spend time together.

Don't worry too much, just enjoy yourself. As you say, this too shall pass and it'll be fun!

I think, in having the discipline to go to your classes, your time with your daughter will be that much sweeter. I can definately understand the arguement; family comes first, you might not see her again for awhile, etc. etc. But you dont want to ditch your responsibilities of school to spend time with your daughter; while youre with her ull inevitably feel some remorse for bailing.

So i think go to school do what you gotta do, SO that the time you spend with your daughter is perfect. Theres no remorse, no guilt; it might not be as long as it wouldve been if you missed school, but the quality of time will be better, youll have no hang-ups. I hope whatever you do works out, and you get plenty of time to spend with her :-).

Its good to hear she is coming to see ya. Your classes are very imprtant, and I think at the end when your all done and doing what you want to do your gonna enjoy life even more. I would imagine time spent with your kids at this stage in life is a very precious time, so just sit back relax and enjoy every little detail, every word, and all that.

Thanks Tay that is a good idea but the college doesn't allow it. As I did it last year with a friend of mine who was actually interested in the class. And my professor was way cool. But when we asked her she said I will pretend I did not hear that if you stay because it is not allowed here any more. (Isn't that something.) Though she let her stay I am pretty sure most of them would not.

I have been praying about it and thinking and everything will be fine. She is gonna be here for two weeks and she has a sister and a dad and grandma and grandpa and aunts and uncles and cousins and don't forget her friends. i have class Mon - Th and a few classes on line I will just have to spend my time with her on the wk end. So my only problem is that my schedule works with hers. So I will call her when she is off work today and put in my request for the wk ends. I should win! Now that I have calmed down and took a deep breath I can see that it's really nothing to flip out about. I just miss her so bad and I want it to be a good memorable visit. I wish she would just move home. Maybe I should just spank her and tell her she has to. Ya right! Or maybe I will consider moving there where she is when I finish school. But I will take my baby with me then. But she wont want to go. lol it is a vicious circle. I don't know. But I do know that I can't wait!:hurray:

thats so great she is coming up to see you but i know school is important for yuo also. my suggestion is to do spend as much time as you can with her. like ringo was saying it will be early in the school year were if you just do enough to get by you have plenty of time to get back up where you need to be after she is gone. family is always is what is most important in life and your education is a great thing to have also but it its not going anywhere but on the other hand she will have to go back to texas. anyways tonight i will say a little prayer for you and hope everything will work itself out for you so you can get everything done that you need to get done.

first thing is get her room all ready
and then get out her favorite recipes and any you can make ahead like baking do before she and your classes come...any prep work u can do now for things you want to do and share with her get ready and have in her room ready...

she can still be close when online and ..man don't play .....just be with her....you can have us when she isnt here ..but yes school has to be maintained but we are like frosting ..yes its good but it u used the pudding in your cake mix you don't really need us....

have fun! and once she gets here whatever cleaning hasnt been done ...is cleaning you can do later....woohoooo im so happy for you... get camera ready ..batteries and all .... be prepared so all u have to do is drink wine and laugh
