Poker Pros on The Amazing Race
I put this in here instead of General Chat because it's amazing news for me and poker is getting pimped in the process.
I have watched the Amazing Race for many years now, and it's lost a little bit of it's luster but I'm still a fan.
Now it's being reported that two poker pros will be joining in on this action this coming season.
It hasn't been filmed yet, or confirmed but I'd be excited to see if it happenes.
Some investigative poker reporters from Espn have found out, not yet confirmed though, That Tiffany Michelle, reporter and Ultimate Bet Pro, and Maria Ho, professional poker player, are in talks to be on the upcoming season of The Amazing Race.
Tiffany Michelle surprisingly skipped the WSOP Main Event this year and posted this on her blog, “It’d have to be something pretty big to deter me from the WSOP Main Event this year and trust me, it is!"
Most sources are sure it is for this show, but are not totally sure. At least from the eight thousand links I've read about it. At least it seems like that many.
Ho and Michelle flew to LA early in the Series for an important meeting and we're thinking this was about the amazing race. The two are very good friends who also shared an apartment during the WSOP and were seen together at all the big WSOP parties.
I'm hoping this is true for the drama it could create if they were partnered up together on the same show.
I think poker pros going on television is great for poker in general.
What do you guys think of this?
