Turing $0 into $100

Well i decided it would be cool to start a little poker blog type thing and try

to start by playing freerolls and work my way up to $100. I not saying i will

do it but i will try my best and post a list of tournys i am going to playing. I

am going to be playing Players Only. Its a Cake skin and started out tonight

with 2 freerolls. First on was for $100 and the second was for $200. I

cashed for $26 in the first one and $2.70 on the second one. As soon as i

figure out how to post a screen shot i will posst them. So right now the br is

at $28.70.

I like this and I think I might start too but here's the questions.

If you can play other table are you going to have set bankroll rules.

A maximum number of big blinds to have to sit down at a cash table, etc.

Just wondering what your plans were, and if you had not had any, telling you to make some.

You know the normal girl things, nag, nag, nag.

first off i wont be playing cash games. i will not play anything over 10% of

my br unless i see value like money added tournys. like later this week will be

playing a $3.30 buy in with $25 add. i mainly will focus on low buy in sng.

well good luck to you and keep us updated. i might try something like this but i will buy in to a tourney then build off of that. ill do a small buy in also and try to capitalize on the money added. well good luck to you.

the hope point of this was to show people its possible to turn nothing into

something. I know i can do it but there is also a good a chance i fail. To be

honest if your looking to make $100 is to save your chips on here and play

the chip games and get up to 14,000 in chips and purchase it from the store

but i am going to try it the good old hard fashion way. If i get to $100 i will

go for $250 then $500. When i get to $500 i think it will be time to call it

quits and cash out. I not sure but lets see how this goes.

Sounds like a nice challenge. Im not sure if players only has any private freerolls, but you can usually find some good value as they usually have alot less players. Good luck

they do have have a few private freeroll and other private game. i like to

play these becuase of the free money to be won. also to answer on of your

other question nav. the $100 freeroll had about 81 people i thnk it was and

came in first for $26 and the $200 freeroll had opver 200 people and came in

11th. I was doing really good in that one and was hoping to get first in that

on as well since it payed over $40 but i will settle with what i got and go

from there. also i might play some $3 super turbos with this but if i get

below $15 i will be only playing private games with money added or freeroll.

my goal is to reach $100 by the end of august.

I like seeing the plan in action.

I think I will see how your luck turns out and then try to do awesome and do this myself.

I just am going to try to save chips in the mean time.

BAH!! cash out at 500, forget that, keep it ROLLING. LOL. Maybe try to pull a Ferguson, make 10,000 from nothing and then write a blog about it :-p. It took him 10 months or so to go from 0 to 10k, so i imagine it wouldnt take that long to get to 100, or even 500. Regardless good luck to you. It would defintaely be a feat if you were able to do it. Would also definately be a feather in your cap to your poker playing skillz. Pretty much if youre a decent player, and stick to good bankroll management u should go far. Again good luck, and keep us updated, seeing someone accomplish something like this always gives me an extra boost in the positive direction.

i remember him doing that but i cant remember did he play cash games? i mean i would love to play omaha cash games but i rather stick to tournys. forget the $100. i will go for $1000 by christmas time? seems possible but i would have to put a lot of work in once the br gets moving.


and yes nav these were private freeroll. lots of poker sites have them and all you need to do is found out who the host is and get the password. i can write a long story about when i was a freeroll whore and thats how i got my br started with lead to my first every $1k check from cake poker but i will save it for a rainy day. if others would liek to do the challenge let me know

sng will be my main source of building this up. if you know what your doing and can play the super turbo;s on the cake network you will make a lot of money. if you add me to msn i will be more then willing to try and help you. i might not be as good as eejit but i can help you in making oney in turbo sng

Sit and goes
All in AA or KK
limp with everthing else
pocket pair calls with 1/15 th of your stack only.
same with suited connectors.
fold everything else and you will win.

I have never really played the sng on cake so when I start doing this myself I will definitely try to do the turbos like you suggested.

Just make sure to update this will all of your pluses or minuses.

i will update when i play on this account. since i do most my playing n cake

with my other br. the players only account i will update when i play there. i

will play a few sngs now i guess since there is so much interest in this. also i

wouldnt play the turbos unless you understand how to play them. ask ringo

or eeejit for turbo advice i am sure they have some great advice.

alriight played my first $3.30 sng and i lost. ran 1010 into aa with 3 to go and the blinds were high. it happens i wont kill myself over this. anyways bankroll is 28.70-3.30 for a total of 25.40. not bad but want it to be better.

Definately. Anytime ive started with a low bankroll, its low limit sngs all the way. I usually even stick to the 1 and 2 table ones, rarely moving up to the 2 table ones also. Cuts down on the variance for one, and cash games at this level, or really any level at these stakes are dangerous. I wouldnt even start thinking about it until i hit 500. Anyways good luck again, im actually trying to something like this myself, so if i find any gems of wisdom on my path and toss em your way :-)

thanks but i will be playing on player only for the whole time with this. i pretty know when good value games are going on so i will be in them all the way. gl if you try to do something like this
