i should of foled on the turn when i got reraised. stupid me.

I think you should have raised pre flop. Because you limped rbnD could have maybe had a weak J 4 or J 6 and would have folded to a preflop raise. Or maybe he could have floped a flush, you just dont know though.

yeah thats my fault being stupid. slow playing aa is dumb. note to self to never do it again.

Yeah I have slow played AA before and it was at a cash game lost $35 dollars in one hand at a .50/$1 cash game so I wont ever slow play it again.

i dont know why i do it. i guess i hope the hit alittle on the flop so i can take

them for more money but it never works out the way i want it to.

The same guy rbd, whatever, beat AA twice that i seen. I have limped in

early position hoping to get a raise from a late position, but sometimes it just

dont work that way. better luck next time. If your wondering what i do with I

just big raise em preflop or go allin preflop.

if you limp first to act, and everyone calls, your aces are no good anymore unless you hit the perfect flop. so if this happens just check call or maybe a small raise to see where your opp. are. but i would of checked on the flop you showed!!

try and min raise when you are first to act with a strong hand. then switch up your game if everyone is calling small raises. try big raises!!!!

p.s i have limped first to act with AA or KK around 20 times in this past year. and i would say 15 of them i got all limper's, 3 i got a raised then i re raised and 2 i got all ins behind me!!

I slow played AA agaist my brother live game...
Was fun playing with my family.. iven if it was a .50 dolar buy in.
I had AA and the flop came 5A6 I bet a small amount (half the pot I belive) and he paid. a 7 came out.. I think u know the rest of the story...
He did a straight and I lost..

This is the first rule I think all poker players should learn.

Never slow play with aces.

But just because you don't slow play them, doesn't mean it's an automatic all in every time you get the pocket rockets.

You want to make money off of them.

I think it's just smarter to win a little bit, than risk winning alot, and getting sucked out and losing all together.

Yea you should have but that's a hard spot to be in. Another thing that you could of done is not bet on the turn and checked it. This makes it so that if he has a jack, he will define his hand by his action. Also, it could look like you had the jack if he thought you were bluffing with the bet on the turn. Which would explain why he min raised you on the turn if he was bluffing.

I can't say whether he had the jack or not because you don't really know but, you always want the other person to define their hand so that you can get some information and make an appropriate read on your opponent. At least this is what I've been told..

As im looking over the hand, im seeing a lot of different places and way that this hand could be tweaked. Everyones gonna tell you that if you limp with aces ur gonna get outdraw so never limp, but for s*its sake lets say that limpin is the right play here. With a flop like that you gotta push harder. your callin pre so that post flop youll get some money in the pot, so i figure, if youre gonna slowplay aces, you gotta get the money in the pot postflop, the money you didnt put in pre. Raise big on the flop, commit yourself, at least on the flop u got outs if u both go all in. Once the j comes, u gotta lotta hands that beat u, so its a tough call. I guess what im saying is, if youre going to limp pre with aces, make sure that youre either a)ready to bail without worry or b) plan on getting the money u missed betting preflop, in the pot.

But that aside, i dont think u can ever limp with aces, unless you have a very specific read on what someone either has done or is going to do. If u KNOW itll get raised on a certain guys bb or if a certain guy is on button, than call. but its basically only gonna get u stomped. U disguise ur aces by raising the same pre with ak/aq/tt or something as u do with them.
Silver lining: least you had the discipline to fold (although its definately possible the guy was making a move) Prolly a rookie move, but i prolly would called the river regardless, outta spite, LOL. SO kudos to you for that.
