Some Turbo Tourny Help

Well i love to play turbos as the action is fast and the games dont last 8

hours. here are some of the things i learned playing these. During the early

levels with the blinds low i love to play as many hands as i can. witht hat

being said i dont mean playing crap cards but suited connetors more often

then i would in a regular tourny. When you get into about level 5 or 6 you

might want to put the brakes on and start playing better hand as you wont

be able to afford to see the flop as much witht he higher blinds. Also you

have to have more of a gamble mindset in these due to the fact most people

are doing the same thing but remember it best to get your chips in ahead but

if your in a coinflip situation dont be afraid to call. One last thing is

aggressive player do best in these. So many times i see people jsut waiting

and waiting for hand or get raised out of hand and before you know it the

blinds are to high and they are forced to pushed with king high or something

along those line.

this is true but i feel being more aggressive in the start to be more better for me

if everyone is playing aggresive to start with, dont you want to play the opposite style......i play different in every mtt but you have to do the oppsoite of what your table is doing!!

i am not saying everyone is playing that way to start. i think most time more often then not people play the same in turbo's as they do in a reg mtt. being aggressive will help you chip up early in these.

ok i see what you are saying.... and your right you need chips early to survive in thoses turbo's......

I dont like playing turbos because and blind levels 1, 2, and 3 I cant stay patient. You need chips early to survive and I try to play as many hands as possible. This really doesnt work for me and I end up going out pretty quick.

I dont really like turbos bc when i end up getting a hand it gets donked and all my chips are gone so i just like the regular tourneys

Well, buying the blinds early in any tourney or sit and go definately, is kinda fruitless; the amount of risk u take for the amount of chips u get isnt worth it. Not to mention that developing a tight image, will allow you to buy pots later in the tourney, with better reward for ur risk.
Theres a good video on the full tilt academy website for the middle rounds and later rounds of larger turbo tournaments. Other than that, all i know is if you're in a Turbo thats an SG, once you hit the money, play for first. Forget getting second and third, your goal should always be first at that point.

i think its important to be patient until the blinds start affecting your stack. i find it best to just keep your stack just large enough for an intimidating all in.If you find your stack getting low and no good hands are coming make a position bet on the flop or try to steal the blinds. The most important thing I think is to keep enough chips to be able to play the flops without having to call for most of your stack.Make moves when you have to so you dont get blinded out!

I really like this style in a turbo. Even though I hate turbos I might play one and just try this because I think its good advice. I gotta play patient!
