I believe that not only can your environment affect your play, but the results you encounter can also affect how you respond the relative environment, both on and off the tables.
How do you change your environment to where you are most comfortable, to give yourself the best opportunity to do well? Whether it be in your actual home, office etc, or just the way you change you screen layout and table options (felt color, rail, w or w/o avatars).
Since I've just recently got back into the online game I quickly found out that I was very unhappy trying to stay focused on the couch or in bed with my laptop so I put a little money into creating a little office, both for poker and my school online. I can say that since I feel like I am doing something more purposeful at my desk than I do lounging around, I think that it will begin to improve the degree of seriousness I take my games online, because too often I just say F it, and throw my money away. (Don't act like you have never done that). Attached is a picture of my little set up, my comfort zone if you will, and I'd like to see and hear about yours as well. Holla.
