The continuation bet

Heres a little concept that will help you win more pots when playing poker. Its called the continuation bet. Lets say we're playing texas holdem and we get deat ak or aq or any decent starting hand that isnt actually a pair yet. Oke lets go with ak. So it comes to us and no one has raised maybe a couple limpers so we raise the pot three times the big blind. Now lets say one guy calls our raise and the flop comes 3 10 q and we miss the pot but we're up first so we make a 2/3 pot size bet so that it looks like we already have a made hand. Or that we hit the q. If he missed also then he's likely to fold and we take it down. If he hits then he has to wonder if we have KK or QQ or AA which would beat him anyway. This works alot against weak opponents. Once the comp gets better they expect this so you have to be careful but its a good way to win pots whithout actually hitting a hand good luck
