Who will win and why? Personally i think the US has a chance like South Africa did but if they dont make the best of every chance they get then it will end like the same in the Brazil and South Africa game. If the US team doesnt show up it could just be another blow out. Even if US win i doubt it will do much for soccer in the US due to the fact we already have 4 major sports plus a few others. Soccer just will never have the same impact in the US like Europe
Honestly i think brazil is the much better team. They are a lot faster and finish much better than the us. The thing is like i said before, the US has the advantage of emotion. They just participated in one of the biggest upsets in a long while in soccer and are living off of the fumes of the excitement from that win. I think they come out with a fire in the first half but the real test will be seeing if they can keep it up in the 2nd half. My prediction is that it will be 2-1 the usa will win. The US will come ahead in the first half, 2nd half brazil scores and with ten minutes left the US puts in the game winner off of a corner kick. Yea this is going to happen just watch it
well if the US does win forget the miracle on ice it will be the miracle on grass. if they pull this off it will go down as one of the biggest comebacks in soccer history. Lucked in the Semi's and beat the #1 ranked team then come back and beat brazil who destroyed them earlier. i can see a movie coming out of this one is they win......who wants to help me make it?
USA will def. be riding high. They are at +750 odds. I think they believe in themselves right now and have a prove to the world attitude. Im going put 50down on them... If I can stop being pissed about the +1200 odds I missed out on the spain match... Im still up from the penguins in game 7 and the field vs Tiger... However still pissed. Pissed more then when I seen Mine That Bird running past Pioneer of the Nile like he had a rocket stuck up his arse.
USA chokes again. Its too bad. Everytime they have a chane to do something good for for soccer in america, they screw it. Landon Donavon siad they got repect this tournament, but they wanted to win... No landon, U lost, The spain game is written off as a lucky fluke and your seen the same way now as you were before. A little better then average team that will never be able to compete with the higher class teams of europe.
And calling the spain game "The miracle on grass" is a joke. That title would have been this game, if you would have won. The Egypt and Spain games should be titled "We got lucky vs Eqypt cuz they were up with prostitues all night, and we rode high into a spain game where spain played poorly and underestimated us"

Great game as a USA fan. Yea it was ugly towards the end, but if you were sane you knew that we couldnt contain basically the most potent offense in the world. The move Kaka made to break open the opportunity for the 2nd goal was destructive. You knew that once he sped up something amazing was going to happen and it did. I think the US did exactly what it needed to do, but its defense just fell short at the end. I think that a good defense is a good offense and in the 2nd half if they tried to press the ball more and score one more time instead of bunkering down and defending they actually would have had a better shot at winning
