ok now what is your worst ability

ok going off the other thread lets take the flip side of it, where is your biggest hole? We all have them so dont sit there and say I'm perfect.....BORG?

I would have to say I have 2 equally big holes, one is money managment and I'am terrible at this play above my bankroll all the time. The other is tilting, I tilt very bad after a horrific beat. Iam getting better at this though like in last night tourney down to about 20...started with 1k people and I flop broadway and have someone runner runner flush me with me betting all the way down not slowplaying at all. he called flop with gutshot and caught runner runner to flush me out alot of chips.

I actully stayed very calm and just said NH I guess. Those are my 2 biggest ones.

Hmm, my worst thing. My aggression? Nope, that wins me pots. My tightness? Nope, also wins me pots. Reading? Nope, do that pretty well. Impatience? Nope, can wait all day.

My main flaw is playing when I shouldnt, i.e. tired, emotional, off-keel. When I am on even footing, though, I am the equivalent of God in the poker world. Thats pretty much all there is.

I will do 100 sit and go's with you eejit. Give me about a week to put the money at whichever site you want though. Seriously I would be all over this in a second! hell we can do a forum thing if you want but have to have proof of the placings so have to have them at certain times so that anyone can rail.

seriously every single player makes many mistakes during a tourney. Even the pros find flaws in how they play in many hands during a tourney, even when they win the hand dosent mean they played it perfect. Im guess your just trying to be funny acting all perfect and all and I dont know you and I assume that you are a good player but you also have never played me besied one final table where I came in to table as short stacked and took 2nd. Not to mention I evened the chips up after being a 5-1 disadvantage and besides 1 terrible continuation bet I played it pretty well.

but as for the S&G thing I think it would be fun but you have to pick the buy in and the amount and stuff like that not to mention the site, and how we would track this.

You think I dont know I let you break me down from 5-1? You think I was going to waste my chips taking a stand before I knew I had you? I had no problem letting you catch up, before I knew I had oyu in one hadn, as I did. So, Im sure if you stick around, well go HU again, and you can give it another try. Its not by luck Ive finished top 2 in points the last 2 seasons, with the most wins in both.

And that SnG thing is a non-factor me right now, just dont have time. Hell, Im usually a 3-4 tourney/day guy, and Ive only played 1 this week!

Phill Helmouth plays perfect poker. Yet he doesn't win all the time. Maybe not winning is is weak spot. So how does Phil correct this mistake he is making. I mean the guy plays perfect poker but its the ones who dont play perfect that ruin it.....Oh wait this is gambling..... So cards come out randomly, there is a statistical way they should come out, but it is totaly random. Hence why poker is considered gambling, so the only way to be the best player is to win, so Mr Borgo, how many wins u got? Have ever won a season?

well I wont be playing many events, got league somewhere else im involved in that run tuesday, thursdays and saturdays so I can play any games here that fall on those days but I dont play poker any of the other days during the week other then those days. Its unfair to my family to just play poker all day and not spend time with them and my wife is already really understanding.

as for our HU I dont believe you had me by much when the flop came out all diamonds, guessing just a high diamond and wasnt gonna call off my stack even with the best hand when you had a high diamond and 2 overs. As for the last hand I was beyond pot commited with a ace and had to call no matter what even though I knew I was behind. I think you play decent but honestly cant stand people that think they are perfect players and no-one can beat them sorry thats just me. I missplay hands every single tourney I have ever played and go over the hands on pokertracker and from memory mostly the whole next day to see what I could of done better during each one its how you get better. But I guess if you are perfect dont have to do that, gl with that.

not trying to be *** about it, and normally dont have all day to sit in tourneys so my numbers are most likley not as good as yours not to mention im too close to Atlantic City that if I really want to play a tourney I would much rather take a drive up there. I usually just play online to learn and chat with poker friends which is why I play leagues, because they are usually with good group of people. wow thats long winded.

I kinda disagree with this even though its supporting me kind of, winning dosent make you a perfect player. Playing your hands correctly and realizing when you are behind and being able to fold is.

I concider Daniel Negranu a very very good player for the reason that he can lay down real big hands when he thinks he is behind. There are many hands where he will have a nut straight to river and be able to fold the hand when he absolutley knows he is behind.

as for Mr Hellmuth, Phil is a great player I dont think anyone can deny that and as one pro once said he plays better against bad players then good players. I do not think he is the best tourney player but he is very very good one. Over last 2 years in main event he has gotten kinda coolored though.

before I can say im playing perfect poker I need months after months of consistant results not just one (no offense) small NDN league win. In about 4 months I will tell you if im playing good poker or not right now.


seriously telling me you won 2 ndn leagues really dosent impress me in the least, now if you sent me all your tourneys for last year and they were consistant I would. Or if you just played for like 4 months on stars and I saw some great consistancy on thepokerdb I might be impressed. Or if you had a great showing in world series of online poker which is starting soon I would be impressed. Think ive made my side pretty clear so not really much to add.

Having a bankroll of 5k, after starting a year ago with $0, having never made a deposit, I am very confident in my abilities. I, frankly, have no care for your thoughts on me. I dont play high stakes. Hell, my biggest game Ive played is 3 $55 tournaments! One of which I sat out of! And I am rather proud of my results in them.

You wont see me in the pokerdb database, for I dont play a great many tourney outside of leagues, simply because it doesnt make a great lot of sense at the stakes I prefer to play at. There is WAY too much money to be found in leagues at these leagues, with $ added tourney bonuses, money for league finishes, and the all around camraderie.

And yes, I know I am a good player. Its not me trying to impress you. It is simply me showing what NDN players are all about. YOu dont havfe to play high stakes. You dont have to play big tourneys on stars. You dont have to go after a big win. The grind at smaller sites (Jetset is perfect) is the best place for a small stakes player such as myself to build a great bankroll.

I wasnt talking big tourney buy-ins, stars also has small buy in tourneys that show up on the Database. As for high tourneys I usually dont play that many high tourneys because of personal things I dont have the money I used to.

as for highest buy-in im not that high either, highest I played was a $100 with $100 add on during 1st break in atlantic city which I didnt add on for because didnt realize it was addon. Ended up final tableing that one for my biggest single tourney win. Trust me I know you dont have to play big stakes to be sucessful and I dont think you need to impress me but the way you come off I have seen 100x before and usually those people end up busting out because they think there is nothing they can learn and they already know everything. That is how you come across.

trust me im very impressed that you build from $0, but never think there is nothing you can learn there is always something you can learn. I never underestimated your skills, just want you to come down to earth a little :)

Oh trust me, I have every idea that I have A LOT to learn. Ive networked myself with good players that we bounce ideas off of each other to enahce both our plays. Hell, everybody here knows when Main and I sit at a table together, our prime target is each other! Yet, when were not at a table, we talk and discuss a good bit, mostly me teaching him, well, simply because he is a chump, but what can ya expect from a Stickfeld?

Know everything about poker at 18? Yeah, right. I plan on knowing a good bit more in 3 years when I can start playing live legally in most places. Hell, my first live tourney will be this weekend! However, I will put a LOT of money down that I am one of the best 18 year-old players in teh country.

And, hint of advice: dont confuse arrogance with confidence. Yes, I do boast a lot, but its not because I know I am the best, its because that when I come out playing my best game, that I am hard to beat.

Storm you seem cool and a good adition to NDN look forward to playing against you. Borg I can assure does not think he knows everything about poker. We talk about hands played and mistakes on a daly basis. Storm as someone who has admitted he does not know it all IMHO you jumped the gun not knowing Borgs personality and actually got to the point you belittled our yes small but tight community of players. Either way its just rediculouse do belittle anyone or have a pissing match in the low stakes we play. We can learn from one another when EGO gets in the way you are only doing a diservice to yourself.

Great thread guys - honestly this is a game of errors, luck and position. You have to hope any errors you make out of position are covered by one heck of a lot of luck.

didnt mean to belittle anyone, if I came across that way I appologize. Was just trying to make a point that no-one is perfect when it comes to poker and everyone makes mistakes. I took what borg was saying wrong way but that got all straitened out. I also look forward to playing with you guys when real life dosent get in the way.

Cool deal. I need to work on patcience and focus. When I have those working together every hand I do well. Also as borg said playing when im just not in the mood or just not in the right frame of mind.

my weaknesses spam from the game i am playing. I play an NDN freeroll, most time i dont look at the cards. Why? Because for a fact i know i cannot play against bingo players, thats my weakness no1. I can play against bad players yes, and win, but not against people who dont care. So i sadly become one fo them.

I agree with many points in here.

1. Borgo isnt the best player alive, he is however, the most arrogant player alive :wink: Ive seen him play well over 500 tourneys i think, and yes i know how he plays most hands, and he does so very well, as he wants to win, its clear, he makes many mistakes, as does everyone, especially me. You have to realise, that half of what he says here is for comedys sake. :roll:

2. Phill Hellmuth IS the best player alive. I know the hands ive seen from him on TV are selceted, and he may make mistakes, but IMO, from what ive seen myself, he is the best ive seen, and ive only seen him lose to either luck, or HAVING to go all in due to being short staked, as no matter what you say, the best player in the wrld who is card dead, and not hitting hands, will become short.

3. This league is great. We have many players who could easily play $100 buyins and survive and cash well. The stakes here dont matter, the stakes are small due to the fact that we can attract more people.



Anyways, the SnG challenge. If people are interested, in a month or 2 when i am sorted out, ill play 100 SnGs of my choice, that being on Stars, $15 + 1 buyin, 6 minute levels. Anyone can join, we all play at the same table. Whoever wins the most cash wins. Simple. Im talking % ROI (return on investment). That is the fairest i can do. If my that time some miracel has occured, and i am financially sorted in life and online, i suggest a $100 bet with whoever else plays for who will win. ANy takers?

I will play anyone heads up over however many games for whatever buyin they like.

Im not being ****y, just saying i will play if you set anything up.
