went to the cards/cubs game yesterday... The cardinals are freaking awesome this year. Gonna win the central. Originally thought they might be in trouble for the depth of there starting pitching staff being kind of... little better than average, if not just avergae. But win you score 10 runs a game who gives a "F"... I could be a 8-8 starter on that team... Cubs suck.
The last few years, the Cardinals have only been as good as Chris Carpenter, who is hurt once again. The Cardinals seem to have the philosophy that if you're always good then once in a while you'll get lucky and win it all, but that idea usually needs an ace starter to go with it. I hope Carpenter gets healthy for his own sake. Living in Missouri, one learns to respect the Cardinals, but personally I'd rather see the Cubs win the World Series just to get the monkey off their back. It would be good for baseball, and maybe even have larger overtones than that. Can't a person see the Cubs win the World Series once in their lifetime?
well i like albert pujols and ryan ludwick is a oakland a's farm product. there pitching sucks but offense is great. im a a's fan. anyone that beats the cubs is good with me. i hate the cubs as much as the stankees and schmo sox.
I am not a Cardinals fan but Pujols is the man. The guy is a beast and he does it without any performance enhancing drugs. He really is one real bright spot in the MLB. I also like Rick Ankiel because of everything he has been through and the desire to play the game he showed by basically becoming a totally new player and redefining himself.
