More positional play
here are a list of hands i would usually recommend folding preflop out of position...eg under the gun, 1+ UTG, or 2+ UTG
keep in mind, this is if you are sitting at a table with solid poker players, if everyone is smooth calling preflop, see a flop now and then, but at a solid poker table, more often than not, open fold these hands.
A2-A9 suited or not
K9-KJ suited or not...obviously K8 and below are folding hands regardless of position...unless you are rushing.
most connectors below QJ suited or not
Ten Jack! please please, i see soo many people get into tough situations when they flop Ten high and there opponent has an over pair or AT
most other hands i limp with and if i get reraises, depends on the circumstances if i'll call, fold, or reraise them
obviously, 99 and above im probably raising preflop
feel free to add to this list if you want...

also,
the reason i recommend folding these hands are because often times with a hand like A5 or even KT, you will be dominated out of position and think your top pair is good, you will lose more money in the long run...guaranteed

Easier way of saying this...
UTG i raise with AA, KK, QQ, AKs, AK.
UTG i limp with all pairs, and AJ+, and sometimes KQ/KJ suited.
Everything else i fold
