I hate Windows!

Klinkman already walked me through why they can't really change anything, so I'm not really looking for an explanation, just venting. Windows has been giving me a whole bunch of trouble lately (and yes I know why), forcing me to re-install it on my Mac so I can continue to play poker here. But the installation keeps messing up, and if the one thing I know left to try doesn't work, I'll probably have to take it in somewhere or something.

The point is, why can't Merge and other networks (and computer software in general, really) be more like FullTilt and able to work across platforms? The Mac OS really is superior, I think, and it really isn't that complicated for a Windows user to figure out. If people want to stick with Windows, fine, that's their perogative, but why not have more things compatible with other operating systems? It's really annoying.

Anyway I'm really sorry I haven't been able to play in tournaments lately! Hopefully I'll get this problem remedied soon and be back at the tables! Thanks for giving me a place to vent.

Thanks, vickid. Yeah, Vista sucks hardcore. I wanted to use XP instead, but I needed to buy it through my university in order to get the student discount on it, and for some reason my only option was Vista. Still not sure if it was worth the discount to get Vista, but I suppose. Thanks for your sympathy, though. I guess the other option is NDN could move more of our tournaments over to FullTilt! I wouldn't mind that! But I understand if he doesn't want to or anything.

if he dose do that there will be more password theifs in our tourneys and the wont just be for people in our forum and family

Interesting. Yeah that would suck. So I don't bother NDN, feel free to send me a pm explaining why this would be and how it's different from our freerolls on PDC? I realize I'm pretty new to this whole thing and I'd just like to understand better! Again, not trying to change the status quo or anything!

I did finally get it to work properly. Turns out I had to remove the partition on my hard drive and set it up again before trying to re-install Windows! What a headache! At least the installation went a lot faster this time for some reason, though. I still need to install some Mac drivers and stuff apparently so the internet will work, but I should be back in full swing with poker in the next day or two. I doubt Klinkman or I will be playing tomorrow night though, as we're going to see The Boss (that's Bruce Springsteen) in concert. Should be a lot of fun, and I'll update everyone tomorrow. I just wanted to say thanks to vickid for his sympathy and support, and to klinkman for walking me through all this and keeping me sane. See everyone back at the tables again soon!
