Patience Is A Virtue.. To Some

So lately in the tourneys I've been playing in, I've noticed a similar theme going on. It seems people think the object of poker is to push all in every hand with **** cards and bet everyone out of their good hands BUT when they get a caller and they show their 36 off suit and some how hit against AK or Q10 they think they have made a good play... and later down the road when someone else wins with a crap hand against their high pair..they turn into a hyporcrit and that person is a donk.. Talk about CONFUSING! I don't understand why poker has become this ridiculous race, to see how many times you can push all in before you get caught. What happened to the skill of poker? sure a lot of people will say poker doesn't take skill, but i must disagree with those people. It takes a lot of skill to know when to fold, to call, the right bet, you have to know how to read people, how much you bet to trap the other players in when you have a golden hand. It's a game of skill, patience and luck yet it seems a lot of poker players today have become exsessive donkeys and their one goal is to play the worst possible hands and somehow hit the board and donk out a solid hand. It personally frustrates me when that happens, there have been a good many times my high pkt pair or AK/KQ have gotten ran over by a ridiculous hand like 23 like flopping a pair of 2s than somehow rivering a set.. it makes you question your own play when something like that happens, even when you have the best hand..you wonder maybe you should start playing crap like 23 off and running someone over with AA. I have come to love poker, its a beautiful game that is slowly becoming a donkalicious game, its unfortunate to those who actually like to play good quality poker, and actually improve their game rather than get it destroyed every other tourney by some loser who is just there to win the money, not because he loves the game. Lets get back to the real poker playing shall we?

I agree with you. This kind of play is REALLY frustrating, and it also makes it difficult for newer players who are still kind of learning the game to see people like this get paid off all the time. I know how frustrating it can be.

I agree with 100% and because NLHL has become this donk game with all in push with trash, i have switch to Omaha and stud and razz. Even limit hold'em. SO try out this games.

Yeah i like omaha too, the only thing i find is its REALLY easy to win in omaha , and its really easy to get ran over! lol like any game obviously. but lately holdem is just a frustrating experience everytime!!! lol

Bull its the same wherever you play. Don't blame donks, turkeys, biotches or b-sturds for play. It is the same eerywhere. Don'tcomplain, just playyour best thats what they do even if it's wrong. Every pro or good internet player will tell you the same thing quit *****in an start playin!

Also no one asked you to post? What is your agenda. I have nothng investted in this site I was just saying what most average players would say if they had balls!

bottom line, internet poker IS NOT REAL POKER....
its a little NON-randomized software server that DOES'NT BURN CARDS...like in live poker...it also sets up seats in tournaments that cant be beat by other particular seats...think about that next time you want to play a long tournament online...

YOU CANT GET A TRUE TELL ON SOMEONE SITTING AT AN IMAGINARY TABLE ONLINE!

don't beat yourself up about it scream, it is exactly like you say, internet poker is a crapshoot, a "donkament" if you will

keep your head up, i know that this is just to get me through until the time in my life when i can afford to go to the Casinos in South Jersey every weekend!

and there are sometime we have to face lots of than.
might after 500.000 played and losted hands a donky plays he might have learnd

This is a constant. There are many all in donks and many of which all to often get paid. Really the only thing to do is just not get frustrated wait for the right hand and hopefully it will hold. So patience is usually a virtue but it definately is good practice and in the long run youll be better off displaying patience.

I have to agree with you, it does get frusterating at times, but this is something that your gonna have to get use to and maybe incorporate into your game. Try donking a fella sometime yourself. I use to believe the same way you did, but then i realized no matter how much a complain itll never change so i just starting doing a few donks of my own, even though i am a bit more selective when i do them as opposed to push all the time type players.
