What are you looking to do? If it's just a blog and a few other pages, you can get a free web address at WordPress.com Get a Free Blog Here. They offer a free "blog" set up, but I've done a boat load with mine, cowboyspokerleague.wordpress.com. That is the only "free" thing I know of. Most require you to buy a domain name and if you need them to host it, it's even more. If you are able to host a website, then godaddy.com has the cheapest domain names I've found.
I'm looking to promote, but I would like to have my own domain so that it is easy to remember and market. How much is the average domain and for them to host it?
My interest are more of my marketing and not so much about the costs. For people to remember, it must be unique you know?
