been playing there almost exclusively for 3 years and didn't get squat
i have only recieved this one time before, and it was lovely, i bought into a 5 dollar tourney and finished on the bubble...not so lovely...my advice to you, spend it wisely and try and play 1 dollar sng's, or sit down at the lowest level cash table you can of your best game and build it...i have done this one time before on fulltilt, but never on stars....full tilt i turned a 5 dollar finish in a freeroll into 110 over the course of a month...but then i got ****y and bored with the sng's and lost alot of it on the cash tables bc it's faster money...i think stars does this to generate new players and revive old ones...play smart and win...GL

Got a little excited when I saw this but my account still has $.03 in it. At least I can give my two cents and still have change left, lol.
did you stop playing there for a while or something? I would think this would be a ploy to get depositing players back to the site that havnt played there or made a deposit in some amount of time.
I have had pokerstars for years now and i got **** from them. I don't even play their any more.
I'm a new player. Two months or so at ps and I have never deposited yet, I have received a free five dollars to them. They do this every couple weeks to random new accounts I believe.
I have been playing at poker stars for around three years now, and I have recieved a $5 gift a couple different times. when they put it in your account it is only good for a certain amount of time, so if you don't find it and use it, you miss out and don't get it. They sent an email telling me about it the one time, but I didn't get the email til the $5 was already long gone.

man i havnet recieave anything from pokerstars in awhile. Last time i think i got somthing like 5 bucks turined that into 50 but lost it all back. well off to check my account goodluck to everyone that gets it
I went to check my pokerstars account and again did not notice this. I wonder how often they send people who have deposited bonuses like this. I thought about emailing support to ask this but just gave up on doing that at the moment.
I bet it's random though as I have received it more than once.
Yes i did receive this... You only get this if you have never deposited real money before. You get this for each new account and it takes about 4 weeks before they "randomly" give it to you.Quote:

Firstly, you get this bonus if you have played for a certain period of time without depositing, or have been away from their site for a huge period of time after depositing and not playing again.
And lol @ repeatedly checking for a free $5 bucks!
yes i did get 5 free dollars at poker stars when I first started playing there but it was about 2 years ago
