Another hand for review
Another hand to look at. This hand shows a great example of what happens when you don't trust what you believe the player has. I'm not exactly proud or happy with how I played this hand, but I will show it to the world for a learning experience. Try, try, try, try to avoid doing this, especially if you keep telling yourself you are most likely behind.

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to ffcowboy76 [Ad Qc]
ffcowboy76 raises to $1.50 - I think I made the correct raise here. I wanted to eliminate players.
Hamish6 folds
vlfflqqkr folds
GOPFishy folds
1 1 8 1 1 folds
boomhower72 folds
Mohomafama calls $1.50 - I can put him on a range of hands here. Using my rules he could have any pocket pair or AK.
jkf79 folds
bienAK47man folds
*** FLOP *** [2d 4d Qd]
ffcowboy76 bets $3.75 - I bet pot here to end the hand right now and take my profit. If I was playing against a loose player I don’t want A3 or A5 to fit their hand.
Mohomafama has 15 seconds left to act
Mohomafama raises to $10 - This should of been a clue to me. I should of considered a small pocket pair, which in the end I didn’t.
ffcowboy76 calls $6.25 - At this point I’ve screwed up the hand and I’m gonna commit more money than I should.
*** TURN *** [2d 4d Qd] [6h]
ffcowboy76 checks - Check for information, which I don’t allow to sink in.
Mohomafama bets $16
ffcowboy76 calls $16 - Horrible call by me, considering what I should of known.
*** RIVER *** [2d 4d Qd 6h] [3c]
ffcowboy76 checks - Another passive play.
Mohomafama bets $32.20, and is all in - Tells me that either they have a set or a straight, either way my Q’s are crushed. Fold and go home.
ffcowboy76 calls $24.50, and is all in - This is an example of Tilt. By not letting go of the hand on the flop, I allowed myself to tilt and make a bad call.
Please learn from this example of a horrible play made by me. I should of know on the flop I was WAY BEHIND.

Ok, wow! Your logic is all over the place, but i like most of it!
PF - Raising - maybe. 8 to act behind you... id also raise, but alot fo people limp this in EP. His call can be basically anything. I mean, ive seen (and done myself) 78suited call, 22, A9os e.t.c
FLop - I prefer a check raise here... Only a K really screws you up depending on his hand, as u have Top pair top kicker if he checks behind. But going with a bet, his raise can also be AQ, or KQ/QJ/QT is possible but unlikely.
From here its hard to critique, as i check raise the flop and more often than not fold to a push if i can get away from the pot odds. As played, the turn you can fold... or push after he bets. His bet is HUGE for a set... unless he has read you for your exact hand or near it. If i play the flop like you i get it all in on the nonscary turn.
River - meh, commmited. Go for it and hope he has KQ
Reads imo - I can put him on AQ/KQ. Also a busted flush draw. Set = possible. For some reason Q4 is shouting at me.
If i had to pick ( i know youve said you made a "bad" call, but ill ignore that)....
Im reading him for Q4

that quote from ndn on the bottom of eejits sig could help alot in this hand

So what did he have?
If you want the correct answer to this then you played the hand spot on up until you just called his re-raise on the flop. After he re-raises on the flop you have to move in, it is the most +EV play.

Wow, I didn't realize it didn't copy the entire hand. The other guy had a small set, if I remember correctly it was a set of 2's. I overplayed top pair top kicker, which for me is not a normal thing. If anything I generally play very tight, usually less than 19% flops seen.

Even so, in a cash game i think the push on the flop is the correct play. In a tourney its completely different but in cash def a push there.
