Proverbs

My studies have brought this term up and I'm curious what a couple of proverbs are that different people use. Given that we are from different parts of not only the country but the world, we should have some that are familiar and those that are not. Please reply to this thread and throw culture in the forum.

A couple of mine include....

• Every cloud has a silver lining
  
• Beggars can't be choosers
  
• At the game's end we shall see who gains
  
• Two in distress makes sorrow less

Too many cooks spoil the broth e.t.c

A bird in the hand is 2 in the bush

A. Find something to like about a bad situation.
B. Get what you can when you have the chance.
C. You win you get the diamonds, you lose you get the stones.
D. If 2 of us are sad, lets hook up, how bout to Neverwinhere?
