travel to cash fulltilt check

ok after getting my withdraw check so fast from ftp i run into bank wont let me deposit because they cant verify funds availability meaning wells fargo bank don't tell weather a bank account has the funds to cover the check they just verify if it is an open account in good standing and check cashing place wont cash it for same reason as the bank so what I have to do is travel 440 one way to the nearest wells fargo bank to cash it I did call that branch and they said bring in 2 forms of id and they will cash it but they will give me 1/2 in cash and the other 1/2 in a cashier's check now if my bank don't take cashier's check then I will be taking my banking else where. but all this just to cash out via check is kinda funny but not really as i will be miss a days work but thats ok I will find a new way to deposit and withdraw. ie. online wallet

Wow that's interesting. Are you a member of Wells Fargo or is the check issued from that bank? It's a shame that these checks are not versatile like they should be, but atleast you cashed a nice check! Online wallets are great for these purposes but be careful in your selection as some of them have high fees.

check is drawn off a wells fargo bank is why i have to travel the 440 miles it sucks but i will survive lol

John I don't understand,my stepdaughter works for a bank.They should let you put the check in your account,the money wouldn't post untill the check clears.I had done that once took two days to post but it worked.

I just spoke to my friend who received a check for 1k from bodog and asked him how he cashed it and what the process was like. He said that he put the check into a Bank of America checking account and it cleared at midnight. He didn't have funds to cover the check so maybe you should look towards banking with them. I have also cashed checks through Bank of America with ease.

my bank orginially told me would be a 10 business day hold cuz out of state check and the amount i was fine with then but then they called me today at thats where i am not happy having to travel 440 miles tho but this time i have apersons name i spoke to and record the conversation cuz if i go that far and they don't cash a check drawn off their bank I will more than likely be in jail

It just doesn't make sense John.Outa state checks are cashed everyday,you should have been able to sign check,deposit it and have it in a couple days.I don't care if the check was from RUSSIA, it is a techncological time,shudn't be a problem.

lol :) well good luck brother, I hope you have a safe trip! It's not worthe getting too upset about it though.

I get out of state checks all the time and i go to my bank and deposit them with no proplem. and the money is in my account the same day. I think it is time for you to find another bank.

Who exactly do you bank with? And you should speak with the branch manager about this.

no problems cashing it here i made the trip of course its snowing like mad here in western ohio so im staying the holiday express till tomorrow costiung me more andmore and i think im gonna choose a new bank to do business with

John go to WACHOVIA BANK i have no problems with them. And wells fargo is now part of them .
