Registration opens 2 hours before the start time so it gives plenty of time to get in. I have only seen the 9:40 game max although, they are getting larger.

Just beacause they have a lot of people in them doesn't mean you can't place. I got 9th out of over 4,700 and have placed 4 times. Goodluck!
